Ive usually got one of my ear buds on my cx300II in my left ear if im riding on the road, due to the traffic being on your right, or my right ear if im off road, no idea why its just how i do it. Never had a problem with wind noise or not being able to hear anything coming up behind me.

Sennheiser CX300, <£10 and absolutely fantastic, really small buds so aren't uncomfortable, they also block out all outside noise really well and have great sound quality.

I probably shouldn't but I always wear plugs in both ears and ive never had a problem, all of my riding its done out of town though, ive got a set of fischer audio eterna and a set of ultimate ear custom plugs, both block out pretty much all noise, id recommend the eterna plugs based on cost comfort and sound quality, if you can find them, I had to source them from russia

2nd XC race of the season for me today, 1st race in my local series which I'm doing geared rather than SS.

4th place in 30C temps, cramped on my second lap. I think I got dehydrated riding DH yesterday and it caught up with me :(

So I've had a 5th, now a 4th, hoping to podium next race :D

Looks a decent course.
I know from experience that carrying enough fluids in hot weather is challenging - Anything more than 3 litres on your back becomes heavy and energy sapping.

Get well soon supercow, im still off the bike after i landed on my handlebar last tuesday on my leg. Got a bruise so big it covers the top of my leg :(

Here is a pic of me riding down Garburn pass. It took me and a friend a while to find it with guess work and a general idea of where it was, but was well worth the trek.
I was on a hire bike that day sadly but its a great track. Will be doing it again very soon.

It is

A couple of changes to it since that picture, new Hope V2 brakes (once the front arrives!!), I need new bars as I need to move the controls further inboard with the Hopes than I can on my current bars. I'll take a better pic once the changes are done.

I keep looking at the new RC3 Ti 66's but definitely don't have the loose change for one at the moment.

Took the Cube to Carron Valley. My first time off road on an MTB!!. Went with a mate and his missus who have been loads of times before, was nice to have a "tour guide" with me. :p

Had a few dodgy moments with the SPD's but all in all it was a ridiculous amount of fun for a complete noobie like me. What I do know is despite being a roadie for about 3 years I have LOADS to learn about riding on trails.

Being bank holiday Monday, the car park was mobbed but the trails themselves were pretty clear. Really enjoyed the whole thing, particularly the Runway. Kelpies Staircase was "interesting".

Excellent fun, I'm hooked now!!!. :D

First time on the bike in about a month. Did a nice 18mile route.

The DHX coil feels sooo smooth after coming back from Mojo. Rock gardens are fun! :D

Haha. That trail used to scare the bejusus out of me when I started out mountainbiking. I'll have to take some pics of an "XC" track near by. Full on body armour tight switchback stuff. Great fun.

just been out on my local bike trial and i can't wait to get my new camera next week.
i chickened out on some of the fast downhill sections and struggled up some sections.

Just ordered a Black one from Wiggle and signed up to their online newsletter which gives you £5 off any orders over £50.

Anyone got one of these, how do you like it?. I ordered before reading the customer reviews and although most praise the jersey very highly a few mention the arms are silly long?.
