I've still not received my tubes or any confirmation of delivery. Not the ideal answer but if they're taking too long and have a store near you, you can return everything to them for a full refund and order just to annoy them and buy from elsewhere in the meantime. I would have expected better from a large chain.

Thanks for that, thing is, I can see getting my money back from them being a pain in the arse. I did a bit of Googling and found a lot of people basically having same problems, appauling delivery times and bad communication. :mad:

I bought some mud guards from there and they took 2 weeks to arrive, when they did there was no instructions at all, not even a picture, and the box was smashed to bits.. shocking really, there must be something going wrong at management level to let things get as bad as this

Well it's only a pair of shorts so I can't see how they could mess those up

They were reduced by like £20 and tbh if it means waiting 2-3 weeks I'd rather just go down the road to my LBS and pay the RRP.

I ordered mine on Sunday night and have just been told by their customer service that they were sent yesterday by RM Standard.

Does anyone have a "How to guide" on fitting tubeless tyres, or more specifically, how to put normal tyres on tubeless rims?

Phoned Evans, apparently they not don't have them in stock. So have to order it from a store to the warehouse then forward it to me, going to take about 2 weeks. Needless to say I've never cancelled an order so fast

If you're going to the expense of buying some Deemax, why aren't you using UST tyres?

To fit normal tyres and a tube you just remove the Mavic valve stem and mount the tyres and tube as you normally would.

Because I wanna try the new Michelin tyres and they dont come in UST afaik, but I still want to run it tubeless.

Since you mean converting non UST or tubeless ready tyres to tubeless. This is how I did it using Stans sealant:

With the normal tyre unmounted paint the inside of the tyre with sealant (1 scoop).
Mount the tyre with an innertube as normal and inflate to 30psi. You may or may not hear a loud pop or two from the tyre bead mounting to the rim. Inspect the tyre to make sure it is seated all the way round.
Deflate the tyre and remove the inner tube. Make sure 1 side of the tyre is still fully mounted. Insert valve.
Insert another 2 scoops of sealant
The fiddly bit: Using one hand to guide and your other hand to press the tyre onto the bead, mount the rest of the tyre as much as you can all the way round. Don't worry if you don't get all of it mounted. You just need enough of a seal for some air to hold.
With a track pump quickly pump the tyre up to around 30psi. Again you might hear some loud pops as the tyre mounts to the rim.
Turn the wheel around in your hands and shake. You might see some sealant spraying out of the sidewall. This is normal.
Leave the wheel on each side for 30mins/1hr to let the sealant settle in the sidewalls. Clear off the excess.
Top up the air, go for a quick ride.

You may need to keep topping up the air for a week or so until one day it will decide to stay inflated. Some tyres won't mount easily, some may not work at all.

That was with a Contintal Supersonic Mountain King 2.4 which has very thin sidewalls and is quite porous.
