I was considering ordering a few things from their site, looks like il be popping into the shop instead and hope theyve got what I want.
Their site will allow you to buy anything, but they only tell you if it's in stock or not once they've taken the money from your account/credit card. If it's not in stock and you want your money back, you have to wait 5 working days for a refund.

In my case, being so close to xmas, I wouldn't have had the money back until early Jan they estimated, and they said they'd have the bits I ordered by then so I decided to wait. I finally got the bits last week, and I had to chase them!

Eugh climbing dont like the sound of that! Is it worth it? :p

It's only 400ftish, and pretty steady going. Cragg quarry is ace too, although it rewards confident riding and good flow neither of which are my best qualities! And then you get to ride back down to Lee for a bit.

That sounded a bit more bitchy than I intended - but it is an older bike and you will get most benefit out of the Reverb, using a bike that could in fact descend really well when the post is dropped, and climb really well when the post is lifted.

The new Specialized Enduro would be a good example of a bike that really benefits from one of these fancy seatposts.

Dropper post's are useful for people who can climb before hitting the DH. :p Doesn't matter if you are on an 8 year old Special Ed (well to an extent) or not.

Personally I find it amazing how some people can make their mountain bike last that long. I'm retiring the Heckler after 3 years use. It's getting hung on the garage wall as Mountain bike art. :D

Thats because you are a bike snob ;) What a waste of a good frame it has at least got another 3 years of good service in it! :p

You saw what happened to my last Heckler after 2 years abuse. Do you really think it's safe to continue using this one considering it's seen 3 bearing changes and needs a 3rd paint job already?

I find my bike climbs and descends rather well actually :p I dont see why I need to spend £1500 for a frame when I can spend £180 for something that imo does the job nearly as well. The bike was built on a budget as I cant afford to spend £1500 in one go so it does me :)

Surely you could just keep using it until the frame actually cracks/breaks?

It sounds like those SC frames are built by a team of monkey's. Buy from a decent manufacturer next time ;) :p

I could but it's a thing called choice. Plenty of people replace frames after a year. Never mind 3.

Even the best fail from time to time ;)
