I have experimented with my forks to try and work out if they are bent, turns out they arent read on to help me out, so i put the wheel in the forks, tighted up fairly tight, and spun the wheel in the correct direction and slammed the brakes on, now the caliper was centre to the disc, but after doing this it was no longer centre.
Now it didnt move the wheel up or down, but rather it slid forward or backwards in the dropout and undoing the QR it flicked back, and you can move the whole wheel in the dropout back and forth and twist it, suggesting that instead of bent forks, the wheel/axle is slipping in the dropouts, depending on direction braking force, and any jumps will reset it or make it worse. Also resetting the wheel multiple times resulted in the disc either being inline or out by a margin. Wall of text im sorry for, but im trying to describe it the best i can do.

Cheers for the comments guys, yes the bike will get nice and muddy when I go to the Peaks on Friday.

I'm thinking of removing the third ring to create a 2x10 setup with a bash ring and chain guide. Just waiting to see how I get on with the climbs and 3x10 setup.

The colour is much nicer in the flesh unfortunately it was a dull day so I tried to edit the photo to get the colour as close to what it is actually like without much success.

Sounds like the bearings in the hub are fubar.

Negative, bearings are fine, hub is tight and no play what so ever. Im lost with it to be honest, should the QR dropout hug the axle, or should it move within the dropout like mine can if i dont tighten it - but when tightened its obviously moving, and thats where im confused basically.

No grease, cleaned that up as that was original thought, QR looks to be fine in all honesty, doesnt seem to matter how tight i do it either - But the hub is perfectly fine i can assure you that much.
