Totally nackered, top days riding and I've definitely improved fitness wise - it also gave me a chance to re-learn how to corner :p

I'd recommend the Dalby red to anyone, it's not got anything too big but it is damn long (especially the last bit!) loads of fun bits and no real hill slogs - my type of ride! :)

That's them except I didn't pay £70 for them - I got a promo leaflet through the door for Evans with money off clothing, can't remember the percentage off but maybe ask around if anyone has one spare?

One word of warning: the inner shorts come attached to the outer shorts and you need to cut the ties off, once you have cut them I'd recommend taking a lighter/soldering iron/something hot to the end of them to stop them fraying, mine have frayed right through to the point where the poppers have fell off in 4 rides! Going to have to get the missus to sew some more back on :p

Aye, working early friday...could head upto carron v after work if you want?

Was gonna text you tomorrow about sat, but i guess theres the answer :) going down with Scott.

Once I get my car fixed (boot won't open) I may pop over to CV or even GT during the first half of May as I am on holiday.... Just can't get the bike in the car just now and CV is just a bit too far by bike (35 miles) :o

Steel 456 normal, i find it an absolute dream, really stable on any decents, plus its nicely setup for a little bit of XC riding if you can cope with the 150mm up front, going up hill sit forward and up she goes. my build is probably not the lightest but you can just chuck it around and it doesnt complain.

Bit of a crappy pic from the snow a few months ago, since then its got new wheels, new grips etc so looks different now.

Is that a Blackspire Stinger? Any issues fitting the chainguide?

I'll be fitting a Bash + Guide this week :)

I got the stinger (dual) from Ebay, but had to buy the M6 10mm bolts seperatley.
I should prob get some spacers then? trying to plan ahead y'see...This one is an ISCG fit

Ahh yes the summer season is iscg, totally forgot that, in any case it should be fine but no idea on the spacers you would need using the iscg fit.

I presume the "orange" graded section (Runway Freeride) @ Carron Valley is nothing majorly wild! jumps if you want or rollers of you don't?

Might head up on Thursday/Friday for a jaunt.

I have been toying with the idea for about a month now but after yesterdays Dalby outing I've decided it's time for a new bike - I was just going to buy a frame and stick the bits from my Pitch on to it but all that kit is from '09 and starting to show it's age (and break *gives the Hayes Stroker Ryde's an evil eye*)

I've narrowed it down to the following bikes but I'm open to other suggestions, what do you guys think of these:

I said to myself I'd rather not spend more than £2300 but if a bike is considerably better than the above then I'd be willing to make an exception :)

Cheers chaps.

The only advice should be to get to as many bike shops/demo days as you can and try anything and everything!

Evens are already getting a Foxy & Dune up to their Gateshead store so I can have a go on them - going to see what else they have in store too. My usual LBS is a Specialized-only shop and I really don't like the new Enduros :(
