Ellsworth Dare frames any good, seen a few for around 600 with RC4 shock.

Reckon I could build a bike up for around £1k if the frame sets me back that much?

Not interested in any of the links I posted above?

I doubt you could to be honest. A decent second hand fork that's even remotely capable of matching to a heavy-duty frame like that is going to set you back £200 at the absolute very least (something like a Rockshox Lyrik, which would be too short on that frame anyway), add on wheels, gears, brakes, it all starts adding up very quickly..

It would be doubtful. Are you a member on the Southern Downhill forum? The classifieds there would be my first port of call for what you are looking for.

Love today's POD

So it turns out that the hoses on the Formula R1 brakes I bought are woefully too short, and it costs about £40 per hose kit!

Sent them back, but fret not dear friends... I was able to get hold of brand new badmanz brakes (2012 Formula R1) for £270 for the pair - Polished silver lever with black lever blade, muchos sexeeehh.

Like this one, but with the polished finish

As about as sexy as me on a Sunday morning

What shall I do to my RX's... Still not happy with them.. Could it be the Superstar rotors? Pad's are organic....

May change the fluid, but then I'll have to completely rinse them out... and I need a bleed kit... Dot4 or Dot5... so many decisions...

My mate has Elxirs on his Norco DH and they're brilliant... and they're AVID!!!

Nice matt. Gisburn looks like a good laugh... where is it...hmm bit far.. any good?

The Gisburn red is a fantastic ride, they've just opened a new part called the Hope Line too (sponsored by Hope) which has some tables and drops.

Yeah love it. Been there every weekend this last month. Trying to get fit.

This last sunday was the first time I've NOT pushed the bike up any inclines (apart from maybe 20-30 foot of the technical stuff).
But boy did I feel like death sunday night.

But I'm heading in the right direction

I've got ElixerR's on my scott and thin k theyre great but have nothing to compare too. I'm in need of new pads though thinking Sintered is the way to go.

I'd change pads before thinking about changing brakes though it may work out a lot cheaper.

Not looking to change brakes just to get them how they should be.. there's just no bite and they fade quickly... I know they shouldn't be like this.

Keep at the fitness Matt ;)
