No but I can trace the route I took on to google maps :p

Yep back to tubeless now, that puncture was a little snakebite btw. I was sliding all over the place today, mud plus slow pace and these tires meant they were permanently clogged up. Might be getting a set of ust chili rubber queens and a ti spring for xmas :eek:

We should go to Wharncliffe next time you're up here as when you know where the dhs are you can fit a lot of different stuff in.

Have you had any probs running tubeless with the flows?

Mine should be here tomorrow,ive bought the tape and valves and using some oldish tyres - may bang in a tube for now until I buy new rubber.
 
Nope, just use one layer of 25mm yellow tape and the valves, ran kenda nevegal, excavator and most recently a maxxis ust ignitor, all inflated with a track pump, kenda surprise tires have tracing paper sidewalls though. I've only had a burp once from the nevegal when running about 20psi.

Ok, I wouldn't say it's a fireroad. There is something very similar but about half the length near me. Sure I blew through about 80% of my suspension but if I can (according to Runkeeper) go down it at 15MPH on my wee Hardrock then it aint that much of an issue....

Best bit has to be the last remaining bit of tarmac, if you have been down there you will know what i mean, if you go that way by accident and cant jump your in big trouble. Even if you can jump your landing on rocks the size footballs that move around under you.
Rivvy is great because there are so many options to take, its also a very easy ride to the top which is a big plus. It can be as difficult or as easy as you like.

This is a tricky bit, only go this way in the dry though way too slippy when wet.

None of the rest is Bridleway either.

What are the conditions like at the moment as I'm thinking about heading over tomorrow as I've a day off and my local Dales riding is getting a bit muddy.
 
Meh, that pebble towpath looks rubbish.
I loled also at the video with the fatty in his spandex jumpsuit "bounce/bounce/bounce" at the beginning like he sees the cool kids do :D
 
I'm so new to this biking lark..
Had my Specialized Hardrock about 3/4 weeks and the front brakes been quite squeaky past week but today the back brake is making a deafening noise..

What causes this and can I fix it?
Also i've had the chain come off at the pedals a few times, one time getting stuck between frame and pedals.. Bike issue or me?

Any links to good sites/pages about maintaining your bike? cheers.

Wharncliffe is absolutely dire without the correct tyes this time of year, all the mud is especially soft and chewed up on most of the well known tracks and you really need a proper DH tyre to have fun. Some sweet stuff been built now btw, including a near 20ft drop off with next to no run off :D

And yes, OcUK DH day in Wharncliffe sounds fun ;)
 
Yeah it was pretty interesting, had a hilarious off on that fast run under the big electric pylon (is that at the end of Fast Track?) got in a rut, put front wheel back on trail, back end started sliding out, cue the slowest 180 degree spin off the track into the bushes, stopped literally facing the other way :D

There are still some parts I have seen in YouTube videos (dead steep trail with a huge boulder to roll over) that I couldn't find.
