Big Bike Thread

It's a good idea, but it would never work.

Image threads need 2 rules:
1 - Include a reasonable sized picture in each post.
2 - Include nothing else in your post

Seems fairly straightforward to me, but 90% of people cant follow these rules.

We just need a sticky thread like in motors, but "show us your push bikes". Would mean the bike pics & specs wouldn't get continuously lost in this mess!

Why is it 2 different colours?! Got any pics of it?

I resprayed the back silver when the back was starting to get tatty. It could do with a respray again though. I'll take some better pics of it at the weekend if you want?

Pic from early 2011:

*note: Comes with a standard 400lb spring. Not the Ti one shown.

What's the weight of it and what size seat post does it take? Can't find any specs on a 2008 frame.

Any issues with it?

Some clearer pics would be good. Hard to tell anything from that picture :p

Had it built to 29.75lbs with coil shock, Hope Mono M4's 203/203, Hope Hoops on EX5.1Ds. Heaviest it got was about 31.5lbs as pictured. A classic hard hitting AM bike.

Going from fs to ht isn't a backwards step to me, it's just going to be a different sort of ride with advantages and disadvantages like any full sus frame.

So, having learned my lesson by having an expensive uninsured bike stolen, I'm going to sort out proper cover. Are most of you guys adding it to your house insurance policy, or using a bike specific insurer?

on my home and contents insurance. Direct line cover up to £1k but will cover anything over that so long as it's named as a specific item on the insurance, with a small increase in premium.

My bikes are on my M&S home insurance, you don't have to itemise single items unless they are over £4k. However they've recently changed their policies for new customers so if while hunting you read lots of recommendations for them (which I did) make sure you look at the details first.
