What are you on about with the normal length of cable?

The cable should just be coming from the top and getting bolted up rather than being wound round the plastic part.

For your own benefit and enjoyment I'd take it to a shop to get the finishing touches.

Yes i know that, it doesn't work on the front mech therefore it clearly isn't a dual pull one.

The reason for looking on the Shimano guides was to see if it did have some different way of routing the cable rather than straight into the bolt as this didn't work.
 
Guys,

I would love a bike for tooting about on and as an alternative as running. Is 250 too little a budget?

I would hopefully be using it both on and off road.
 
Im looking at buying a canyon xc nerve 7, im sure i saw paypal as an option a few days ago but now it's only showing credit card/pre payment. Can anyone shed any light on this or am i going insane.

Edit: Nvm, uk isn't on the list of countries that can use paypal :/

On that note i am looking at getting a full suspension bike for around the £1400 mark, has anyone got any reccomendations? It'll be for some trail riding and general XC, i allready have a decent hardtail but was looking at getting a full suspension more for the trail rides.

My bikes now ride-able, brought a shorter stem, lbs had one of a giant bike in there that was unused so got that for £18 and fitted new front derailleur. Just need to fine tune the rear derailleur as it keep missing the 2nd largest cog when coming back down but hits it on the way up. Will do this tomorrow when i get someone to hold the bike up so i can alter and pedal without putting the bike up and down.


Quite like those biking shorts linked earlier, get paid today to be a payday present :)

Did you get the chain shortened? Assuming it's on a ring at the front here...

Garry I happened to see a chap from your shop heading to your shop today around 4.30pm. Looks good in that kit and on the look bike. My girlfriend only noticed his shaved legs though....me next maybe :P
