Can't believe I spent 3 hours watching Rampage last night lol it was amazing and woah gnarhly and they were super sending it etc etc but it got boring after a while, not enough tricks and too much similarity in the runs.

I can't remember specific riders but the people who did the variations right at the top were the most impressive e.g Bearclaw and Loncondeguy. Have to agree McCaul's run was ace. It's a shame Fairclough was nowhere to be seen, did he not qualify or something?

What is impressive imo is the amount of riders doing the Icon Sender and step down to wall-ride transition that Gee did last time.

How do you get so low when cornering? Does it just come naturally?

It was the end of a lengthy drift, just leaned over quite early and trusted the tyres/berm would catch me - it wasn't the prettiest exit though to that as I jack knifed a tad. Also got a bit of a fright as I was not expecting the 'tog to be there :D !

There's not a lot that can ge wrong in a well built berm, so it's easy just to trust in your speed/tyres and lean over.

Sorge's backflip over the stepdown was the coolest thing in the comp, but I preferred Cam McCauls run in general, much more flow.

I was suprised that none of the riders were really taking big risks (like Zink's 360 drop in 2010) and there weren't many big tricks being pulled. Good to watch though, and I wouldn't even be doing the "little" drop at the top right after the start.

Sorge deserved the win no doubt, but as we've all said, Cam was hard done by.
My mate was spannering/digging for Sorge this past week (Giant DH team mechanic on loan for the Freerider) and I'm sure there's going to be a few sore heads today!

ps: Semenuk - yea he had a disappointing Rampage, but god what a miserable sod. He makes Sam Hill's interviews looks positively energetic.

Lucky you! I might go on Thursday if I decide I can afford to not eat one day to use the petrol :D

Not sure if Kieran posted it already but it'll be nice to have some sort of trail just up the road from me.

yeah - will nice to have something no matter how small it looks. I was up at Whitelees with the kids last weekend and asked the receptionist (manager) of the place about this - she said she knew nothing about it!!

Also with the trails at Cathkin Braes getting built - hopefully some decent stuff if not overly long/technical!

quick question..

to replace a bent rear X5 derailleur, SLX (M662) or X7?

have X5 shifters.

X7 - believe there can be issues using mixed brand shifter and derailleurs

Edit - also worth checking mech hanger to see if that's bent too
