I know, I was just pointing out they really are that good :p

I moved from a full suss back to a hardtail and I've enjoyed riding a whole lot more since. But I suppose if you must scratch that itch, don't spend a small fortune at first. The El Guapo is a decent choice, as good as any.

cheers - That's my thoughts. New frame (either FTM or El Gaupo) costs £600, sell old frame for circa £200, so net effect is only £400 spend. Would need new seatpost and headset but all other parts should just transfer over.

Spoke to on-one who said the FTM is ideal for 140mm forks so could build it with my 150 rev's see what it's like and then space them down if needed to 140mm

cheers :) We had to give them another outing this afternoon. Why oh why have I let my body get into this mess :( Just turned 40 and I need to sort this out as soon 2013 hits :)

Fell off today as well >.< into a pile of sludge and mud at the bottom of a hill in a field near me :) I need more speed going though these things as my bro (who is a good 5 stone lighter than me) just flew over it all at crazy speeds.

Ah well, I am looking forward to 2013 and hopefully will not be out of breath when I leave the drive at the end of the year (I kid you not!)... lol

Was looking at fork juice to maintain the suspension but is this overkill? At the mo, I am hosing down, warm water with zymol, and chamois it all off and bring inside. I guess I need to look at chain maintenance + cleaning at some point too.
 
I just fairy liquid wash mine / rinse it off and put suspension oil on the fork stanchoins and seals in stead. Used to use fork juice, but I've heard that it can dry the seals out, so standard suspension fluid will do.
 
Two shiney new Pro2 hubs just arrived from CRC, now I just need the rims and spokes to turn up from elsewhere so I can lace up my new wheels.

I also want CRC to hurry up get the cassette and type2 rear derailleur I want back in stock while they've still got their very nice coupons available.
 
Love the Shan and wouldn't mind that Stumpy posted earlier either!

Ultimately they'd be wasted on me as I'm a lazy, unfit & overweight downhiller. :p
