I thought 29'ers were more expensive though. Never ridden one so cant comment, but i like the choice and price of 26" rims and tyres, not to mention forks and frames.

Cas knows someone who knows someone, that someone gave him a significant discount, so he can get out and ride - while he saves up for another gnar-machine.

:D If I enjoy the 29er I might try and turn it a bit more aggressive, with a slightly bigger fork and stuff... See how an aggressive 29er hardtail copes :P

Woohoo can finally get going on the build!

you'll be finished before me:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Honestly - never had so many hassles building a bike ever! One thing after another.

Frame takes 34.9 top pull front mech, remove 34.9 top pull front mech from old bike. Place on new frame - doesn't fit:confused::confused:

Check again - checked size, check frame details with on-one - still doesn't fit:mad: Honestly!! Spoke to another guy who has same frame and he had same issues - despite on-one insisting that it fits.

He suggested getting a conventional top mech and the work fine for him. Been cabling up and new brake cables tonight as none of the old ones fitted the new frame!

What frame did you get from On-one ?

Mine wasn't without issue either, Titus El Guapo V2 with Shallow headtube bore !

Its fine with an On-One Slackset in it, although if i find the time i'll take it back and get them to bore it out incase i want a different headset in the future.

it's the front derailleur that I am/was having issues with - however I appear to have semi solved it. will get back to it again tonight:p
