Need a new chain and cassette.

Quiet happy with 9 speed KMC chain but looking for a mid range 9 speed cassette. Any thoughts other than usual SLX/XT ?

Rode the monster trails yesterday and Golspie black today. I totally sucked but had a blast. :D. Thought I dented the Tracer on lactic ladder. Had my Talas forks set to 120mm and smacked the down tube on a rock hard. A bit of a strange moment where I was glad I had a beefy frame on a climb.:p

The Simano Deore M596 brakes I ordered arrived, I also bought the "bleed kit" from chain reaction but all the bleed kit contains is a little bottle of brake fluid and a hose :/ is this right? From reading the instructions that come with the brakes it shows using a little yellow funnel. The bleed kit has no instructions, just a safety guide. I've been googling and every shimano bleed guide uses the funnel, does anyone know anymore?

Bleed kit: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=663

I did this and it works fine. Sounds like i got the same shimano bleed kit as you

I've just managed to snap a spoke on my bike, never thought about having to replace a spoke before! Any recommendations where to get a decent one/pack from?

I had thought about replacing the wheels for coloured rimmed ones (to be a bit more noticeable on the road from the side), my searching has proved fruitless for branded coloured 700c wheels, is there any hidden gems I should know about? Saves the spoke issue too ;)

First race of the season today, it was a single-speed only race, 24miles in 2 hours. Felt good to get the heart rate bouncing up near my limiter :D

XT Cassette and KMC chain ordered.

Just 4 weeks to go now to my first enduro (POC King and Queen of the Hill - Glentress) - safe to say i'm bricking it!

the course is shaping up at around 37km in length, with around 1365m of ascent and descent. This is a lot more than last year.

No much to the seasoned rider but for a 1st timer should be fun (i hope)

Long time no see guys!

Been doing a lot of XC riding recently currently at 130 miles this month just from popping out after work a few times.

I think its now time to look into some proper MTB shoes.

I am after something similar to this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suplest-O...t=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item19dad0b99d

I see that chain have them on sale, but not in my size obviously. There is also a 2012 model on Evans (above ankle)

Anyone have any suggestions of similar alternatives? Dont have clip ins yet but might look into those in the future.
