Have issued refund and asked him to send via paypal goods. Will see if hes a messer or just a mistake i guess.

also make sure that you send to only the verified address from the paypal account they are paying from. If no verified address or they ask you to send elsewhere - don't.

29, 27.5, 26" ...all are just bikes as 6th says.
Each has it's own merit, listen to the angry man ... he puts it best:

I detect a lot of anger there. I'll be honest though, I don't think he really does a very good job of convincing us as to why they went with the 650b. He also asks a question at the end as to why there is so much resistance to change like he genuinely can't understand it. He then attempts to answer this question by suggesting that perhaps it is because people do not want to let go of something they love.

I think he has missed the point and/or is too stubborn to admit the real truth, as are a lot of other bike manufacturers. People (consumers) are resistant to this change because it will likely cost them money in the long run. It's also not just "another new thing" making our bikes become dated to newer technology, rather, it can be thought of as a whole new format change. A bit like DVD to Bluray, or a new CPU Architecture and platform requiring new motherboard and ram, or say a new type of fitting. It suddenly can devalue older tech and/or create complications having differing standards.

I know there are many standards already and I know there are counter arguments to everything I have said above yes, but I'm just saying these are the thoughts that many are having. They think of it as hassle and "what's wrong with 26". A basic resistance to change due to uncertainty. It's merely a natural human reaction initially.

So I changed my mind again ... not going to build up the LTD Shan reverse, and in stead sticking to the custom colour I ordered.

It didn't come out as I wanted, but it looks a tad better in the flesh than it does in the pic:

Glentress & Innerleithen this weekend, woop! :)

We're staying in Innerleithen itself, GT looks about a 4-5 mile ride down the main road - does anyone know of a better route than the main road?

If parking at GT which car park is the best bet, the buzzards nest or the lower one? I take it the cafe and such like are at the lower car park?

park at the lower carpark, more of a climb but it's not a hard climb and quiet fun with some good views, also on the descent back down from buzzards take the blue descent, superb and better than the red.

You can take the new cycle path to Peebles/GT from Innerleithen, you join it on the road to that leads to the car park for Innerleithen it is sign posted.

As already mentioned park at the lower car park at GT as both the lower Red & Blue route are pretty good.

Cheers guys, I'd found some articles about a path being built but they were back in 2011 and I couldn't find confirmation of it being complete.

Which entry(ish) level bike?

So in less than a month I am moving up to the Cairngorms! Super excited and can't wait to get out there. But I seem to be missing a bike. MY last one was stolen a couple of years ago, and I never replaced it as I didn't use it very much. But not having a bike with the best the Scottish Highlands have to offer would be just rude! Oh, and I need something to pop to the shop, seeing as the nearest one will be 3 miles away through the forest! :D

But I can't decide what bike to get. I don't want to spend too much at the moment. Say £400 max, although closer towards £250 would be better. I am likely to go second hand, to get more for my money.

My head says get a hardtail as it is mostly going to be used for forestry tracks, commuting and gentle trails, but I can't help but lust after those FS bikes as well. What do you guys think? What other bikes should I be considering in that price range? :)

My new steed. First ride was incredible...incredibly slippery and greasy. The tires need to go. Before anybody says, I've already fixed the angle of my brakes and shifters.
I've been playing around with the suspension all night and I still can't seem to get it right.

To do:

convert to tubeless
get new tires
get shorter stem
reverb stealth

Only a few miles from Laggan too! Jealous I'm moving away from the highlands :/

At the price range I'd say stick with a hard tail.
