Converted my Hope Pro 2 to Evos today, love how easy they are to work on, XD freehub fitted as well.
Just awaiting my XX1 parts and Hope GXP converter.

Brother is doing a charity 60 mile bike ride atm (which I should have been on, but I'm still unable to ride a bike since my oopsie!) and a guy has had a heart attack and died during it, only 40 as well. :(

Hit cannock up today, perfect conditions, super grippy in places due to it being abit damper. My Fox 32 forks have developed a steerer/crown creak though :(. Its not horrendous but being abit ocd it's got me worried. New forks are going to be around £500 or I could get a kashima upgrade for around £330 so if it gets worse then thats the road there going down probably. They have had 3 years of utter abuse to be fair, I'm extremely heavy handed and hard downhill on my bike so its only right I guess.

Kashima makes it look bling and gold, but you won't notice a performance increase (negligible performance increase at best)
Save your money and just have them serviced.

Edit:

The Shan ******* rocks. Rhys mate, you missed a trick by not going for another colour, a colour don't make a bike!

Nope, just factfactfactfact.
Handmade in 'Murica by fat McDonalds fingers and outdated geometry. I'll give it this much, it was a good pedaller for the weight / travel :D

Anyhoo, are the Crossmaxes on the Tracer? It might sound like a bit of a stretch, but seriously -

I have been lucky in that I have had no issues with my T2. The geo works perfectly for me. So have to disagree with you. I'll keep the
Spanks in mind. Whatever I get it will be temporary until I can afford something a little more bling! :D

On the Kashima front...totally noticeable difference a couple of years ago but the newest forks are pretty darn good without it.

Trust me on the Spanks man, the finish on them are so good, the wheels are light, and seals better than any tubeless wheel I've had. Don't burp either, which is very encouraging!

Yea, I guess a few years ago they could have made a difference, but Fox's seals and compression carts have improved a lot.

Can't find anywhere to buy?

I've only just had them serviced 3 rides ago and mojo said they noticed a slight creak on the head tube/steerer. They did say its not detremental to the forks performance or strenght but could be annoying. At the time they said it would be £200 ontop of the service charge for new legs n steerer so woulda been £320 where as you can have kashima with service for around the same. New forks are going to cost more than that so kashima is unfortunatley thr cheapest route. I'll see if i can live with it on me next ride.

Recently treated myself to a fancy Thule roof rack and bike carrier.

First trip out and I'm distracted by the dog chewing my car interior, pull in to a car park and wallop :(

Damaged car, damaged bike, damaged rack :( :( :(

Ouch. That's a nightmare. See, when I tell people that this can happen and it's the reason I have held back on getting a roof mountable rack, they generally shrug and say nahh, only an idiot would forget. I'll admit that I bet I would forget if I had one. Also, does it not get annoying that the car parks you tend to actually want to get into, are the ones that have a height restrictive gate on them? I can see many trips where you would have to stop and get the bikes off just before the car park which could get annoying.

Hope the damage is not too bad, but sounds like significant to bike and car? Pics? Just so we can point and laugh and get it out of our systems. Come on...don't be shy!

There 2011. Dont think i could buy a pre owned fork as i couldnt know the true history/life. From googling the steerer crown creak is common on all year fox's :(.

There are pitfalls, when it comes to buying second hand - but in the majority of the cases I found that it's pretty easy and quick to spot idiots out there from the way the communicate / digging into the Pinkbike profiles etc.

Went to Aston Hill yesterday think we got about 8 full runs in for the day. The place was nice, trails were fun with a nice mix of steep and rooty plus the smoothness of surface to air, everyone seemed nice and friendly too!

Let me know next time you're there mate.

Yeah I know, kind regretting not getting another colour... Yours is nice! Custom job though?

Mine's a one-off, but that Hazzard's paintjob is well nice too, on top of being a sick bike.

After my bike rack nightmare I've finally got some riding in whilst on holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.

Only a quick loop of some local trails but awesome fun and very different to what I normally ride, big up the natural stuff!

I went to Gisburn forest on Saturday. After spending ages trying to find the bloody place, I feel somewhat disappointed. There was one single technical downhill section through the forest which I liked, and that was it.

The stone slab drop I thought was going to be a lot more than it was. I found riding up to the thing harder than going down it!

Won't be going again anytime soon.
