Returned a bike to Winstanleys owing to it being too small for my Son, they say because the seat post was fitted and is scratched, they cannot offer a refund for the full amount.

I can understand this, but all I did was fit the seat. Nothing malicious. I cannot help if it is scratched.

The post is far from anything special, £10 tops.

Will see if they try to shaft me.

In other words, it's pretty rubbish - things will rattle, things will fall off and loosen - but it's "good for the money", because you didn't spend any ;)

It will go forwards on the round wheels, but don't expect much more.

In other news, man this Knolly Warden looks pretty frecking rad. Geometry has similar characteristics to the Specialized demo!

That would be me then, absolutely loving it so far, as is a riding buddy who bought a very similarly specced one, he kept the standard brakes and put a Fox shock on the back!

Great customer service, and specced up right, even Canyon can't touch them for VFM, bargain, lol!

There's something about Knolly bikes, a Chilcotin/Warden is totally overkill for me but they look totally bombproof, one with some pimp carbon rims to make it feel zippy would be the ticket I bet.

This 150mm Warden, weighs less than most AM bikes, so even though it looks chunky its not too overbuilt.

How long did it take to be delivered? isit weeks or?

Do not want.

I would want it for the front derailleur features.
The over-swing, where it shifts past the next gear then moves back once the chain is on it (i hate having to shift up, then give it a little nudge when the chain doesnt quite move up.)
Also auto trim, where it moves slightly to stop the chain rubbing on the cage when using the extreme ends of the cassette.

I'll happily move to electronic shifting when it's a reasonable price but the benefits are not worth the cost for me yet.

Finally had a play on my bike today (after yet another long lay off, stupid hand surgeons!)

It really is so fun to ride, I really can't wait to get back into it. I'd say it likes throwing me off, but every bike I've ever had likes doing that, so I'm starting to think maybe it's me! :D Ordered some new tyres for it as well, came with some terrible WTB Wolverine? So went for a pair of Hans Dampf from the Germans, looking forward to giving it another go with some sort of grip :)

I once thought that, so got someone to help me out, and it turned out that I am indeed just really crap :p I was improving a lot before I injured myself last year, but of course now with a huge lack of confidence, that's gone again. I'm going to book a one on one course with Ed Oxley though, since I injured myself just before my previous one.
