Just back from 10 days of racing and riding in Utah and Colorado. Good times.

Here's a taster.

To come first, first you must finish.

That being said, Rat's incident was far closer to the finish line.

Missed opportunities all around, no-one's favourite racer goes down as the winner :)

my pikes and ccdb inline are here!

gonna stick 90psi in the fork and no idea about setting up the ccdb lol

got nomad settings cos its a similar shock rate as my nickel

gonna set it all up badly then pretend it all works awesome because it was expensive :D:D:D:D like the rest of my bike :D

is the nickel 130mm? id be interested in hearing how the inline goes. leaning towards that rather than a new frame any time soon.

its 125mm stock (200x50 shock) but a lot of people have been running 200x57 which is about 142mm total, seems to work well (ive been running it this way all year and its fine - plenty of clearance)

proper suspension people always moan and say its "not recommmended" etc but loads of people do it and its fine, id have liked a new frame but just not willing to throw £1500 quid down on one and most of the cheap but good stuff is 27.5 now and im happy on 26" so felt this was a good compromise

my fox shock was working ok - but found it getting out of its element on downhill drops (blowing through travel too quick I think) so hopefully this is better - ill let you know though

got the pike mainly for the wider legs (my fox 32 was far too flexy) and again doesnt hold its travel well without having to put too much air in (and loosing the small bump stuff)

the trek is 130mm and (although its really a lower/mid end xc frame) like you the fox isnt coping well on rooty/rocky drops. itd be a 190x50 fit for me.

id like to hear what you think of it on the shorter travel frames :)

Like mine but worse!

Picked up the bike today. Apparently the log I tried to go over wasn't as small as I first thought lol. As a beginner it wasn't the wisest of moves trying to jump it

Does anyone know what shoes he's wearing in that picture?

I want to order some MTB shoes tonight, but I was curious to see if there's anything worth considering over Five Ten Freeriders.

My mate got five ten freeriders and they are nice, however not something I would personally go for. Low Impact all the way!
