I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't though. ;)

Well disaster struck, i just found a nice big crack in the steerer of my Manitou Blacks. :( This the week after I replaced my cassette, chain, and crankset. I'm looking at some Pushed Vanilla RLC's as a replacement. In the meantime I have some Freeride Z1's to tide me by.

heh,

Hope Stem
Hope XC hubs
Hope Headset
Hope Mini rear
Hope C2 front (temporary) I have a Hope mono M4 to go back on.
I might actually get some Hope skewers. My Ti USE spin Stick got stuck in the rear wheel; I had to use a hammer to get the rear wheel out
After that I might as well get a Hope seat collar.

Aint Hope going to be releasing a seat post soon?

:p

Whats that specific grease you should use when putting titanium things into a different metal? Always told to use it with king headsets, should have shoved some on the skewer.

I only found out Ti-prep existed until after my skewer got stuck :(

But that's what I get for not lubing properly when cycling in winter conditions.:o

Hi, just got a Giant XTC SE. Had a budget of £500 and got this on ebay for £300 inc P&P. The guy had only used it a week and it looked brand new when it was delivered. So I spent about £100 on upgrades - Pedals, front & rear mech. I might change the front fork at some point but in no hurry, its not too bad.

Overall I'm quite pleased and it cost me £100 less that I planned to spend :)

Hope skewers? Not the greatest of reputations...

That Giant is sweet. That looks such a sweet trail bike. Stick with the current Mazz for now, just replace bits if they go fubar! £400, thats crazy!

shimano skewers are the best ive tried. the xtr skewers look pimp as well
Yeh, tbh Shimano are better than any others, and ti ones seem to strech more than hd steel.

That said, Salsa ones seem to be the most common, not a bad price either.

The Salsa skewers look nice. First it it will be a new rear tyre and an 06 Fox Vanilla RLC with Push. Those Bomber Z1's are poggo sticks!
