Faultless, shifts so crisply, I've never tried the X9 so I cant say if theres much difference, but this mech has lasted an age and been on various bikes.

Cant say i can tell any difference between it and the chris king on the fsr.
You will when the fsr breaks and the king doesn't :p.

Every bikes a good bike imo cheets64, its just nice to see so many people riding and enjoying it, you certainly dont need to spend big to have fun :)

Indeed. One of the guy's I've ridden has a 10 year old (at least) Giant carbon rigid MTB with V-brakes.

He's quicker up or down hill than I am on my hardtaill or full-susser

I love the colour of tha XTC Composite.

I've got Rebas on my both my bikes (Teams and SLs) are they are lovely. The RockShox recommended pressures are a bit pie in the sky though.

i know its a bit off topic but can anyone in here recommend somewhere good and relatively safe to sell some old dirt jumpbike parts because i never use it and only ever ride my bmx now, mainly a 24seven v4 frame and M dirt jumper forks as they are surely worth something.

i cant really use ebay at the moment as my paypal account is locked due to an argument with my bank

some very nice bikes in this thread, i still dream of a demo 9 for jumping off cliffs too my death :D

No, but I have a...

2002 Kona Lavadome. I bought it in Jan '03 for £300 (was £600)!

It came from a cycle shop that was closing down in Crawley (which is now an Evans  ), and absolutely everything was half price.

I've kept the groupset as Deore (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), bought a new Easton seatpost, Clubroost XC bars, an FSA aheadset Manitou Skareb Platinums (a mere £70 off eBay Italia and are about a kilo lighter than the old Judy TT's that were fitted!). I think I'll go disc when my rims need replacing in about a year or so.

My forks are worn and leaking more grease than a sweaty Italian. My rear mech jocky wheels are sharper than Dennis Leary. Hubs are slower than David Beckham. And to top it off my rear wheel is more egg shaped than a clowns bicycle:

X317 - wiiija - I have 5" at the rear. How long will yours last? :p

MORE repairs soon for me. :(
