Big Mistake...?

I dont know why but it didnt even cross my mind to write a post on a computer forum about my new build and I have now purchased all of the parts and am a little worried on the feedback I may get...
A little information - I mainly play games on my PC like World of Warcraft but looking at getting titles like BF3/Cod4 etc. My old PC was a duel core and getting a little sluggish so I decided a new build was needed. Now I only had a small budget of £700 (Not Including Graphics) so i decided after many compares / reviews on the following components... (Please be gentle but honest with me...)

Well here's what i bought -

Asus P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Corsair Hydro H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Corsair Force GT 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Case - Black
Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 700W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
LiteOn IHAS124-19 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter

Sapphire HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 DVI, HDMI (Currently Own this and will be using it for now until I can afford a new one) <<< HOW BAD IS THIS CARD OR IS IT OK FOR NOW?

What do I want from this post you ask...? Well I would like to know what you think of my build first of all and then a little help with the setup.

The HAF 912 Plus case can have a 200mm top fan or 2 x 120mm fans - what setup and fans would you recommend and why?

I obviousley need a new graphics card - which would you recommend for the games mentioned above and the componets compatability...

As I build this I may have more questions which I will post.

Any replys are welcome and thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my post! :)

I can help you with one thing,

The HAF912 case includes a rear 120mm fan, remove this and place it in the roof.

Then where the rear fan was fitted, fit the H60 radiator and its supplied 120mm fan.

the spec looks very reasonable - nothing glaringly wrong with it

and the graphics card is fine for day-to-day activities, i would suggest buying another for crossfire or just upgrading it altogether, it depends on your budget :)

You have no need to worry as that is a rather nice setup. You've even gone with the 2500k processor which is great if you want to overclock in the future.

Your 5770 will manage although as your probably aware will hold your system back.

Apart from that you have what looks to be a great gaming system which should last you many years with a GPU upgrade :)

Your Graphics card is not going to set the work alight, its probably about as slow as I would like to go while gaming, but don't worry about it until you have enough money to buy another one.

You know you want to buy a new one, just wait till you can afford it and ask again then, no point suggesting what to buy in 6 months time, I don't have a gfx pricing crystal ball.

It wont fit with 200mm in the top so you have no choice but one 120mm at the top if you take h60.I have the same case with H80 and 1 apache black up there.

That is a nice system though. The only mistake is Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 700W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply and taking the PRO version of the asus motherboard.I would have prefered a corsair PSU.AX750 would have been perfect and the £20 saved from the motherboard could have vent towards one.

8GB ram also was a good choice so u can just drop in whatever GFX card u need like a 7970.If you had of got a better PSU you could have been able to SLI.

Thank you for your replies so far - taken all on board and very appreciative.

Who are the market leaders in GPU's? My budget is around the £150-£200 mark - Can i get anything good for this price at the moment? Looking to purchase in Feb.

Silly wording at Coolermaster says "room for 1 X 200MM" not "includes 1 X 200mm" makes it sound like it doesnt come with a fan.

I also said to place the H60 at the rear not in the top.

560ti 2GB / 560ti '448' 1GB / HD 6950 2GB. That's the cards you have around that budget, and they are very nice.

I would wait till you are ready to buy, there are new AMDs coming out, as well as NVidias. Which means hopefully a price drop on current gen, or better next-gen cards for a little more money (HD7950, GTX 660ti).

Does this mean my PSU will not power newer graphics cards like the 560ti 2GB / 560ti '448' 1GB / HD 6950 2GB ?

If your 500GB HDD is big enough for you now I would wait for prices to come back down on new HDDs. The factories that flooded a few months ago are now back in production and prices will be dropping.

What size of monitor do you have and what resolutions do you play games at. If you are playing on a 17" at 800x600, you don't need anything!
