ok im changing mine

i know i started the thread so i should really stick to my forst choice of halo 3 but...

-its gtaIV
i havent ever been so bored

i feel like im only playing it to get my moneys worth

im exploring everything

and to think - i put off buying mgs 4
only so this had another week of playtime

i cant be bothered with the rubbish multiplayer
i cant be bothered with the boring missions

mgs4 feels complete within the first 3 hours i have played it
gtaIV feels like i havent done anything in a whole month of slogging at it

GTA 4 was a big letdown, i dont care what anyone says all the reviews it got with perfect scores were total bs. If they had played the game for a month then reviewed it theres no way it would have got all those perfect or near perfect scores. Its like they got playing it 2 days before the release and were too caught up in the hype to think rationally about the game.

i agree

I would say Halo 3 but after the previous two I knew it would be rubbish, so it wasn't really a "letdown" for me.

Zelda TP was a huge dissapointment but I'm going to have to go for Bioshock - what a bore that was.

GTAIV

I know it was supposed to be more "realistic" than the others, but they cut out loads of good stuff that was in VC / SA and replaced it with nothing apart from a few activities.

+ They can't claim being able to be shot 30 odd times before you die realistic. Saints Row had more things to do in it + was a longer story line.

No worries mate.

It probably shouldn't bother me as much as it does / did, but the controllers that I got with my PS3 at launch were poor; felt plasticy and weren't particularly good to use.

If they've improved them now then that's good, and I could understand why someone could see it as a silly choice.

I'll have a think for something else, other than the (launch) Sixaxis controllers...

yeah the first set of them where terrible way to light, one i got with my 40
GB seams much sturdier and weighty, feels like my old DS2 more, really need to get a DS3 though :p

Main thing thats annoying me is the analog triggers, every game uses them now (yeah i know they give more precise control + I could change em) and it means i have to change how I hold the controller from how i used to,

Now its right thumb right stick index finger right trigger and middle under controller, instead of first thumb joint X thumb tip O index r1 middle finger hooked underneath the r2 overhang (which isn't there any more)

It not natural i tells you! :p

Mine has to be GTA 4. I had never played any of them before, so wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I got 15 hours or so of play done, but was just so flippin bored.

In the end, I was only playing it in order to justify the cost of my first ever new release title, so traded it in for NG2 - which I love :)

GTA4 is a letdown. I got bored of it after a week.

Conversely, MGS4, despite being a singleplayer oriented campaign game, has managed to make me turn on the PS3 everytime I get back from work, just because of the massive variety of guns, unlockables, play methods, secrets, alternative routes, and ad infinitum. I would have thought GTA4 would have been the game with replayability, but it's got nothing. I knew MGS4 would be good, but I honestly did not expect it to be the game that makes me just want to play it everytime.

For me, the biggest letdowns are the ones you expect to want to play on when you can, again and again and again, but only really can stomach one playthrough just to see the story and then it's forgotten all about. I call this the 'Halo 2 syndrome'. (the first game made me play it every day for 4 years, but the second and third? Not even two days)

another for gta iv , i thought the story was rubbish , so much i cant even remember what it was about, also i found after completing i did not play as much as i did with previous gta's

After another month...

Still the Wii. Just doesn't float my boat sadly.

Have to agree sadly, I'll always be a Nintendo Fanboy but the lack of exclusives/innovation on the console at the moment is making me regret buying it.

I have had a lot of fun on the official titles and some 3rd party but compared to every other console i feel its just remakes, poor quality games and low imagination.

I really hope we see some more exclusives over the next year as i want to really like the console, Hopefully Disaster : Day of Crisis, Clone Wars, Samba de Amigo (remake) will bring my console back to life.

I'm jumping on the Nokkon bandwagon for this one. The Wii is currently sat behind me in a bag, unplugged, and has been for a couple of months now. I can't bring myself to sell it because i love the idea there just aren't any games (yet?) really worth having for it that i haven't already completed.

A month on its still uncharted, tho after finishing mgs4 and playing the battlefield demo, I think some of my complaints from the game come from the six axis.

I'd say Halo 3. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy the game when I was playing it (some cool weapons and vehicles), but as it went on it just got so repetitive and I felt that the singleplayer element could have been so much better and more epic. I alos hated the lack if interaction / problem solving.
