That's some good,sensible advice lmfy2k ;)

You can also swap the existing bulbs for led ones,no real need to change the whole indicator, but its your machine

I've got a full set of clear lenses in the shed you can have for postage if you want to go that route.

I like that you went from it must be a fully faired S to a naked though :D

Looks tidy, is it a K3? If it is be aware when ordering things like exhausts they need K3 specific fitments due to the rear subframe being unique to that year.

Haha , thought I wrote that :)

Also owners forum : https://forums.sv650.org/index.php

The SV650 forum is a great source of knowledge. Best thing about it is most of the time someone has already written a post asking the question you have, which saves all the waiting!

As has been said that's good nick mate.

Can't stress enough the requirement to change the exhaust. For me it made the bike and defined its character.

Plus not so many people tend to argue with a loud bike ;)

its certainly one of the the better forums i must admit

The Honda Hornet forums seem to have been very busy few years ago but really died down now, only a few new posts per day, but like you say most questions have already been asked so just a case of doing a search.

Nice ride, IC3. Bet you're really buzzing about your test now!

The more I ride the more I start to believe in this bike (shocker!!) the way it seems to fall into corners and begs for a high exit speed never stops to put a smile on my face.

This is going to be a good summer

Small arrow indicators are a must, I just need to find some decent ones. Any ideas?

I've always liked nakeds, I only wanted a faired version for wind protection.

It is a K3, I'm aware of the longer/larger subframe. They changed it for K4 so shorter people could flat foot the bike. :p

I'm a member of the forum, same nickname as on here. ;)

Thanks, like I said its not an eye catcher... but for £1350 I think that's a good buy, especially since it comes from a biker family where everybody rides. Even his wife rides, they had so many pictures in their house of trackdays and eurotrips!

BTW What bike do you have? :)

Cheers, I'll order an exhaust as soon, as I make my mind up what to order. :p

I'm a bit gutted, a blue SV650S fully faired 07 13k miles for 2k appeared literally after I bought the SV... Oh well, life goes on. :p My SV wasn't a planned buy, I went to see it after work... made an offer he accepted and I bought it. :p

Edit
This bike has 74bhp and 68Nm, the acceleration is crazy as it is. What does it feel like riding something like the S1000RR or ZX10-R? The 125 seems like its not moving compared to the SV :p

I've got these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/indicators/bike-it-led-spear-indicators

Along with these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/indicators/bike-it-indicator-connector-leads to avoid having to chop the wiring on the bike, you need different sets for the front and rear as they used different connectors on the pointy unlike the curvy where they're the same all round.

Plus http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/indicators/warrior-led-indicator-relay instead of inline resistors.

@IC3 The zx10r is awesome if speeds your thing,I'm too old for that though now, plus I was sick of shoving petrol in it

It wheelies so easy,I'll sell you it:D

I think it looks pretty cool, personally.

Got a 2006 Yamaha R6. I thought I put pictures up but I haven't lol

Need to give her a clean

go for these mate:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230508286319?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I have these exact ones from the same seller, you get 2x pairs (4 arrows)

they are the proper Bike-IT branded ones and not the cheap copies of them, you can tell as they have the little screw on the back of them, the cheap ones swivel around and you can end up with the indie pointing towards the floor :p

they are the bulb versions ones though, they do the LED ones but you will need the correct relay or resisters if you want LEDs.

The SV with me on it wheelies on 1st and 2nd gear. :p I'm just saying the SV feels like it has plenty power, I'll see how it goes on a motorway. The 'private' road I tested it on wasn't long enough. :(

I remember someone posting na R6 not that long ago, not sure if that was yours? R6's are sexier than R1's :D

The price is good, this bike will eventually become a commuter bike/work horse so I don't want to invest too much money in it. :p

@imfy2k, are those just plug and go or do I need to do any modifications/adaptors?

Unsure about the sv but the indies come with 2 simple bullet type connectors that fit into the rear light loom, take out the old and fit the new. Plug and play, no modding

On the hornet you have to take the rear body panel off to get access to the cables. Takes 5 mins

These are the bulb indies so no resistors or relays are needed for the hornet

Unless the sv already have led indies at standard? I'm Not too sure mate

They come as a pair you'll need one set of new and one set of old as they decided to use different connections front and rear
