Loose wheel you'll be looking around £15 but obviously if you want them to strip the wheel off then you're paying labour to take it off which is normally around that. Bearing in mind I'm not quoting London prices.

I got a tyre fixed on a car recently and it cost £18. I see no reason for a bike trye to be any more expensive.

Yeah London prices plus them doing it probably ups the price.

At the garage I get my done, its 10 quid per loose wheel or 20 quid wheels on the bike. A different guy that's private charges 30 quid overall for wheels on the bike, but because his prices are so good, you need to book 1-2 weeks in advance. I'll get him adjust my suspension after I fit the rear shock :)

My problem is that I have a flat tyre at home now, so I don't even know how to get it to tyre repairer and to be honest the idea of me removing the back wheel fills me with dread. I can barely adjust the chain I don't want to go anywhere near that job.

LondonMPR will come to me & fix the tyre for £50 but at that price I'm kinda tempted to just get a new one.

I'm thinking I'll get a tyre repair kit for the time being and get a new tyre next month. Anyone know where to get cheap Tyres and repair kits?
I used this: Gear Gremlin GG170 Tyre Repair Kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CCE6100/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_nfI6ybN9Q2AGQ on my old Road Angels as a temporary fix. Nobody would repair them cos of the speed rating, so I just rode it relatively gently with my own repair until i got it replaced. Worked perfectly and i bet it would have lasted for the life of the tyre, but it already had another small hole which I fixed with goop so wanted to replace.

If i had a longer commute, I'd carry it in my bag. 15 mins and you can be on your way again after a puncture rather than calling breakdown or a van.

Is that the same as goop stuff? Apparently stuff like tyre weld can make a huge mess as is a pain to clean off your rim when your change your tyre. I used Goop last time, got another puncture, it sprayed everywhere under my seat but washed off easy with water (it's basically water based goop filled with bits of rubber which work their way in to the hole).

Had a good day in the Peak District today, 180 miles covered but the roads started to get mega busy this afternoon!

Yeah I have goop but never got round to using filling the tyre. :(

I'll plug it and use it til next month, it's not like I commute anymore and I rarely go over 50 mph anyway.

Five of us (well, 6 including the pillion) rode up to Rutland Water. Some great roads around there actually. Beautiful day, just about the right temperature as long as you can keep moving.

4th is my new favourite gear. Can't believe how much power this KTM has, even at high speed. 3rd I had the front wheel up, powering after my mate and then into 4th I could feel the front wheel skipping about. Amazing. Was gradually getting a bit more confident in the bends too. Great days riding. Was a shame to get home and find my Dashcam had become disconnected when I fit the US10 to the back seat before setting off! :(

I grew up around there some absolutely great roads, really do need to take the bike around there one day when I'm visiting the parents.
