So looking at the MT07 demo they have, the one i've riden a few times, did the NC500 on last week

How much of a discount would you guys consider a good deal on a 6 month old demo bike? It's on 2500 miles, i've done around 1000 of them... That said, I have no idea how it was run in or anything.

Personally i'd be more after another Bonneville based bike, but now that I live in the middle of Edinburgh, the MT07 might be a good thing. If I can get it cheap enough it might be a nice bike to throw the miles on over winter and just ride with no regard. Thruxton I spend more time cleaning than riding...

It certainly gets up and goes

When I was looking at the MT-07 the discounts of used and demo bikes was minimal. Personally I'd rather just buy new and look after it from the outset with rust protection.

Heard what sounded like a very awesome bike coming around the corner so naturally I swivelled to have a look, only to see some or other crap old commuter thing with what looked like home made underseat exhausts that were about 4" in diameter each. Both of them. Looked ridiculous.

Bought a pair of those Flare audio isolator aluminium ear plugs the other day, they arrived this morning. Seem like good bits of kit just trying them around the house.
Obviously massively more expensive than the foam disposables but I’m a tart for shiny things, although even I couldn’t bring myself to the fifty quid titanium set.

Edit: quick run out tonight with them. Very comfortable under the lid couldn't really tell they were there which is nice as foam ones can sometimes be a little uncomfortable. Do a really good job of eliminating the high pitched wind noise and tone down all the lower frequencies well.

Going to see if they cut out my mrs snoring tonight, if they do and they're comfortable to sleep in they'll be the best thing I've ever bought!

I have the titanium and I used them recently camping at Santa Pod. Amazing! Slept right through, no problems, even with drunk lads for neighbours and party music going on. Couldn't hear any of it and I actually forgot I was wearing them in the morning. Took them out and I could hear the kids in the tent next to me all of a sudden. Back in they went...

Has the swingarm started to rust yet?

Nah, they keep it detailed. It is displayed for sale. They bad for it are they? Issue is if I buy a bike I actually want, i'll actually spend more time and money on it and never use it in the winter, hence requiring another winter beater and defying the point...
