another set here if no hawkeye spots them;)

@tom-e can only be a bearing id say if the wheel has side play in it,if the axle nuts tight it shouldn't move, you can tell by rotating the bearing with your finger, any rough bits or notchyness means they are on their way out
That's what I thought but I can't find anything with any play
Supposed to be going down to Brighton at the weekend and won't get a chance to strip the rear wheel before then.

@mowy that's really bad luck I hope you get it sorted out and you heal up ect

I'm sure I'll live. Lower leg and knee are fine as I always wear bike boots and armored trousers. Upper leg/hip have taken the main brunt of the hit with the ground.

New aches today are my neck and my right shoulder but all is muscular as I have no scratches etc. Not paying excess for now as I'm buying a house tomorrow and not claiming personal injury just yet until I can get a grip on whether its just impact shock or something more

Yesterday was my birthday...and some lovely chap decided to not look at the roundabout before joining...causing me to lowside. It was all low speed but I'm a bit stiff today. The really annoying thing is that the guy is not coughing to being in the wrong!!!!

That sucks. How's the bike?

Yep Posted in the 'show us your new bike thread' when I got it. Thanks Feeling more confident after today so fingers crossed

You'll ace it! I think in hindsight I was more worried about Mod 2 but Mod 1 was certainly the part easier to mess up.

You're in Cornwall? I'm supposed to be going down in a few weeks to see in in-laws. If the weather is nice I might take the bike instead as there are some nice roads near where I'm going (St Austell/Charlestown) that always looked fun when I was driving

In a situation where they wont admit fault or wrong doing I would always call the police, see what they say then...

What roundabout was it? top of the Avenue?

Every day since I got the bike, I seem to buy something for the bike. I hope this will stop soon, I was only planning to buy 3-4 thigns for it... lol :p

Tell me about it, i'll be posting my winter maintenance work when I get the bike back in a few days, to say it's extensive is a bit of an understatement lol.

That's the same stand as I have, mine only came with the cups.

So - fork seals. OEM Honda from wemoto at £20 each side (seals and dust caps), or non OEM from wemoto at £16 total for 2x seals and dust caps?

I'm gonna do the job myself, sod it :D I'll do it over the bank holiday weekend, I've have use of a car so if I get stuck I'll have transport.

check and see if you can get all balls seals, they seem to get good reviews and are £23 for a set of oil and dust ones for mine.

i asked the same question to my mechanic who has been working on bikes for years, he says the wemoto non OEM are just as good as the Honda OEM seals, he has had no issues with the cheaper ones that wemoto sell

i told him id pay extra for the Honda seals and he said there was no need

one advantage of getting the work done for you is the work is guaranteed :)

good luck with the seals, do let us know how it goes, you got the air gap size and correct amount of fork oil yes?

heres a question for you

When i went to Matlock the other week i noticed a lot of bikes parked up and have a special cover for the number plate, they would cover the plate and walk off

i know traffic wardens by law are not allowed to touch a bike when parked but is this common practice to cover the plate when parked up? and do any of you do this?
