The 2019 Ducati V4R.

221bhp out of the crate with a 16,500rpm redline.

234bhp and 164kg with Ducati's 'racing accessories'

Can you imagine the sound of that V4 hitting the redline, upshifting..

Should you notify your bike insurer if you have a bump in your car?? I've got 11+ years no claims on my car, but have had two write off's (3 way crash + flooding) this year. I never thought about notifying my bike insurer, but now it's time to re-insure, online comparison sites are asking for claims across all vehicles. Putting these on my insurance renewal are pushing up costs by £700+ a month...

Unfortunately yes.

That sucks... both claims not caused by me, and I have protected no claims, so again they have not been affected. The issue with my bike insurance is that I've still got a full loss due to theft from 2015 from my 125 days.

Might have to make some calls to see if I can get any movement on the quotes.

The kicker is, I got my renewal from my current insurer who are unaware of those two car claims, and it's £150 cheaper than last year :( With the claims, it goes from <£300 to £800+ - not sure i can justify that tbh, esp as my car insurance will probably be doing the same.

Is there a any form of cutoff to contest blame on a claim? The 3 way crash I had was complex, someone speeding behind me in same lane swerved around me at a junction as I was moving into the left lane (indicating.) They rammed into the left side of my car, ramming me forward into a car in front in the right lane.

I didn't hear anything back from the insurers for a while, then received a letter saying I was at fault (I imagine because I impacted the car in front) and a deadline by which to contest it. The deadline had already passed when I received the letter, and I couldn't ba to fight it, so let it go.

This morning, I saw the girl who had previously rammed me, driving like an idiot at exactly the same spot. 2 lanes of traffic at a light, the left hand lane has perhaps 30 meters before it's blocked by a car after the lights. So she takes the left lane (driving a merc) with the intention to blast off the lights, undertake me and swerve in front, because she couldn't be bothered to wait in a queue of two cars. I beat her off the lights (I know...), but it riled me up seeing her do the same kind of thing again at the same spot.

The new S1000RR and the V4R are beautiful machines, but Aprilia have dropped a testicle with their new paint schemes for 2019 :(

Agreed. I want that V4R so bad but I can’t afford a V4S let alone £35k on the R. Getting insurance for it will be challenging!

The 2019 bikes from Ducati, Aprilia and BMW are such stunning bikes and have some immense specs, Its a shame I can only sit back and admire them and not own one :( The V4R made me drool a little :p

I know one thing, if those Panigale side panels with cutouts are manufactured by some aftermarket outfit for the 959 I’m getting them! They look wicked. Completely changes the overall look of the bike. The silver tank looks good too! Might just get some Halfords spray paint and cut some holes with a hacksaw :D:o
