Right, I havent looked into this place, but I quote from another forum :

Not had much time at all to myself but I will be looking into this place, he went on to say they used to welcome them on bikes lots of times and the service was excellent.
 
The White Hart is ok, but the Red Lion in Brafield on the Green is better. It is on the A428, a few miles further out from Northampton than Great Houghton.
 
I cant find much in the way of reviews on many of them, only maps. I still think the one treefrog suggested is a great one, I wouldnt mind moving the date in order to avoid WSBK.
 
Those places are miles from me (North Yorkshire) I've recently done a 90 mile motorway trip on my NC30 and it was hell. I'm going to suggest Squires (milk bar) in Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire.

I'll deffinatley be up for it.
 
The only thing we could move now is the date and thats all. Nothampton won the voting so thats where it will be held, if its a nice day then take the NC30 the back route!

This is looking promising, but down the A428 Google Earth is showing 3 "Red Lion" pubs :) I wonder if you could tell me which one you are thinking of, a road name or a nearby road name perhaps?
 
Cheers mate, just google earth broguht up 3 within about 3 miles of one another thats all, thanks for your help :) I will look into it further now :)
 
Why not? Its more of a gathering than a ride out I think, afterall we will be pretty tired of riding after the journeys some of us are going to be making :)

Heh, some just get it lucky.

What I think I will do is wait for freefaller to reurn from his holidays and discuss the proper thread via msn. It should be making an appearance in a week or 2, its only a couple of months until the date we have set anyway!
 
quality - home it warms up some by then (obviously will) and becomes less slippy else i'm in the car :p

Yep thats absolutely correct :) The proper thread will be up in about a week, I think its going to be my doing :) Keep an eye out, it will have details of times/locations and by then I should have worked out a route for those wanting to go on a quick blast :)
 
The A428 should be ok for a bit of a blast, there are average speed cameras but they're forward facing so unless they're sneaky and catch the back of the bikes from the cameras on the other side of the road we should be ok.
