Bikers Youtube thread

Thats why I loved my 750, similar weight to yours and almost 140hp :D and I think I probably weighed around 75kg at the time, was epic on track.

Yer my Z750 is a lardy beast at about 210kg I believe from memory! Big shock coming from a 120kg CBF125.

Torquey though.

There's a common misconception that a GS is heavy (it looks heavy!), but the 1200 oil/air cooled one that I have is only 212KG, which is lighter than many smaller bikes.

 you got overtaken. However, what he would have done if you got alongside him before the exit is questionable...

My Duke 125 weights 128kg, the 690 149.5 kg with 67HP. I wouldn't probably feel the weight difference between my 125 and that 690. :p

I sat on a 300kg tourer bike before, it was heavy af. I would hate to drive something like that daily, wouldn't mind it on a motorway as you're cruising 100-110mph and don't even feel it probably.

BTW What's the lightest sports bike currently available either 600cc or 1000cc?

Heavy bikes are actually nice to ride, too light they tend to skit along the tarmac when heavy braking

Look on mcn reviews to see the weight of each bike

The 690 is COMICALLY light. It's not until I owned my S1000R (which is not exactly lardy) that I realised the 690 is like a pedal cycle :D

DUCATI 1199 SUPERLEGGERA 177KG with 200 bhp :D

2nd Place APRILIA RSV4 RF 180kg with 201 bhp

DUCATI 1199 PANIGALE R 184kg with 202 bhp

All other bikes in the 998cc+ segment are 184-204kg.

As of the 600cc Sports

Similiar, Suzuki was the lightest out of the bunch. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/suzuki/gsx-r750/2008/

Its mainly because its a single-cylinder and KTM's have lots of experience in building light weight cross/enduro bikes. No wonder bikes with the LC4 690 engine are so light. :p

Great of you don't weigh asmuch as Pavarotti

I'm 78kg, well I'm below 80kg, not too sure though as I lost some weight due to cycling. I have asthma which makes running a nightmare, but by cycling you can lose weight as well, it just takes a bit longer. :p

Edit

Isn't that GSXR 750 sexy? I would ride her hard, lean her over whenever possible. Just get some good protection & rubber and off you go. :D
