Bikers Youtube thread

Think the bikers at fault there tbh; he can see the car recording the footage isn't moving but everyone else is so that should give some indicator that he's being blocked. Nevertheless, sore bum after that surely :p

That thing is far to expensive. I'm thinking of a £20 mic or something that will improve the GoPros built in mic.

edit: I should have clarified after asking what you guys use, what would you then recommend me on a budget lol.

My brother uses this one and it does a good job: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BOK931C?keywords=dictaphone&qid=1437741220&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

Just hoot when you set off so you've got a spike in the audio to match up the video and the audio :)

Quick question that popped into my head the other day, for you guys who have cameras and use them on touring trips. I presume you take a laptop or something to transfer the days footage to? What if you don't have a laptop? I couldn't afford 7-8 huge sd cards but wouldn't want to buy a laptop just for the sake of transferring the footage every day on a long trip!!

Edit: Just seen that most cameras only take a 32GB card which you can get for a tenner, how many hours does that give at 1080p 60fps? Would probably be cheaper to stock up on a few cards rather buy an external HDD with SD card reader.

Nah a 64GB SD card stores almost 7 hours of footage at 1080p30. Just bring a stack of them and some cheaper 32GB cards.

60fps is a waste for motovlogs and you get terrible low light performance.

Search for this on Youtube! Cant post it as it has some swearing.

"Episode 44. Lorry wipes Ducati Monster out...CRASH!"

Insane! Was only from the other day.

How the hell did he manage to stay so calm?
I would have been proper ****ed off in a situation like that, especially when it looks like the driver doesn't even care about what he has done.

The Zoom H-1 is a little cheaper, around £70. You might be able to find a cheaper one yet that still has decent audio quality.

Then you can do something like this

or even just stick it in your pocket!

I took 4 x 64GB SDXC cards with me. They were only £12 each.

I'd just take a laptop, or maybe something like the Surface along with a couple of externals for all the media for a really long trip. For Scotland recently we just turned out camera on when it was particularly nice, so didn't run out of space.

How are you guys attaching your cams to your helmet? I have a slightly cheaper version go pro like camera that uses the same mounts but the curved sticky pad isn't curved right for a helmet

RJ on youtube uses a weird gum to make a flat surface, found the vid for you:

Sugru is the stuff you want

Saw that one when he released it. I always wondered if it was just an advert for a friend or if he actually uses the stuff... I wonder if it'd be strong enough for high speeds.
