Biking Do's & Don'ts

I just went to halfords to pick up some tools quickly, I then met my mate and we went over to my other mate. By the time I noticed how freezing it is on dual carriage way when we were going 70mph I remember that I only went to get some tools... From a 20min trip it became a 3 hour trip :p

I cycle on a road bike, my average speed is around 20-25mph. I don't wear any protective gear apart from a helmet when I remember to wear it, now imagine Tour de France 2015 cyclists who hit speeds of 62-70mph+

?

Yeah they get ****ed up pretty badly when they crash:

And so on an so on, and a lot of them were not tonking along at 70mph.

But then you were, and you were not on closed roads, on a bike weighing a couple of kilos, with medical support only minutes away etc.

Not really comparable bud to be honest.

What year is your bike Saga? My k1300s is 2009 and has the new jap style switchgear. My old f800st was 2007 and had the old style. Preferred it but tbh it doesn't bother me overly anymore.

Mines a 2012 - they kept with the superior system until the water cooled GS came out :p
