Bing - a new way to search

got no sound so i dont know exactly what the video is getting at.
I dont see it catching on tbh. Looks like a normal google search with a few extras.

I don't think it'll catch on either, similarly with Cuil etc. but in 3 years time we'll be using these without even noticing, and more than likely an enhancement of what Google already offers.

Seems very interesting. I know MS has been really straining to come up with a google beater.

Perhaps in a few years people will be saying "let me bing that for you" :p

Have a look at the front page.

Microsoft don't get it. For a search engine, users don't want a background that alters every day. They want something that's simple, familiar and loads dead quickly, even if you're on dial-up or a mobile phone. That's how Google got so popular.

Apparently the results will be better than Live Search - well, they'd better be, because Live Search is absolutely terrible.

Also, does anybody know anyone who uses Yahoo? I'm struggling to see where that 20% market share comes from. For everyone I know, search is synonymous with Google.

Google doesn't do well at all in Asia

I've been growing increasingly unimpressed with google searches lately. :/

If I am honest, google's organic isn't bad - but, at times I do get a "huh" result with them. I notice a lot of commercial sites come up, which means a lot of negative keywords help a lot on occasions.

I do want something as good as google though - if only for competition to keep them on their toes rather than get complacent. Though at work we do use a lot of google adwords, which generate a lot of revenue for us (in terms of visitors).
