Wow, that's a great reason to play through them again. Loved the original Bioshock, number 2 not so much and 3 was OK.

I've only played each one once, but the second appealed to me the most, with infinite being my least favourite.

I've got the first bioshock on DVD, and infinite on steam. Not got bioshock 2. Will I be able to get the remaster of the first game?

No, you need to own it on Steam. The retail copies of the original used SecuROM rather than Steamworks for DRM, sadly.

Nice that it is a free upgrade. Might give me a reason to play them again - they're kind of games you only play once and the impact is so intense it's difficult to go through it all again.

2K also clarified that BioShock: The Collection, and the free upgrades, will go live on Steam at 3 pm PT on September 15. The September 13 date we've quoted previously is for the North American release of the console versions.

Bioshock was the first game I bought after building my first PC, though never got far with it as I got waylaid messing about overclocking and Crysis settings.
Looking forward to finding out the secrets of Rapture finally in this remastered version.

It's a good move for us, It's also nice to see Skyrim offering the same if you own the game and all the dlc's.

I hope they include Steam achievements with the remasters, I've got a thing for them now, About 2 years ago when looking at my stats I noticed my overall completion rate for games with achievements was only 17% so I set out to improve it, My account had loads of games that I'd started playing but stopped with only one or two achievements, It still does, but there's a lot less now. Since then I've only played games with achievements which is just about everything new so I'm not missing out on anything plus I've been going back and playing those I hadn't completed like Rage, Bio Infinite etc, I seem to manage 1% every month or two so it's slow going.

They added Steam achievements to Bioshock 2 when they converted it from GfWL to Steamworks a few years ago, so I imagine they'll add them for the original too with this.

I recall my most favorite moments back in late 2007 playing Bioshock to completion (rare do I ever complete anything). I purchased the steam offer bundle as I don't actually use DVD roms no more. I'm hoping I'll enjoy it again after nearly 9 years (simply waiting for remaster)
