Bird Flu covid type lockdowns.

It's another scare tactic.

There as been animal infections going on for over a year were farmers have had to keep a register of who comes and goes from their farms.

Don't touch an infected bird.

We call it flockdown! :D
Yep, and it’s a pain in the arse trying to keep our girls under cover when we live on the side of a hill that regularly gets 50mph plus winds. The first covered run ended up about 30 metres away in our neighbour’s paddock.

It’s like COVID all over again having to put up with all the bird flu deniers and people that refuse to adhere to any of the measures to present spread. Having said that, it’s an utter joke that the government is still permitting the import of game birds for shooting from countries where there are much higher rates of infection.

Didn't know that. (importing). Seriously, have we learnt nothing.
This may well end up a as another pandemic, could easily be much worse.

My hens are OK behind a wall. But even still the tarp covering them has been ripped a couple of times.

Seen some articles saying that officials are drawing up plans for bird flu pandemic covid type lockdown. I just think its more fear mongering.

Well we all know you can't read properly and can't make sense of words so I'll point you to the very first sentence -

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) says there is "no evidence so far that the virus is getting better at infecting humans or other mammals"

Of course people like yourself only read headlines and yes I agree journalists are scum for writing headlines like that because they know people like you don't read the rest..

Live in fear and do what the TV tells you to do and dont ask questions.

Or take sensible and mildly inconvenient precautions to protect your birds (and birds in general) from disease spread. Having lost an entire flock before, it’s not something I ever really want to deal with again.

Grow up.

When ever the government says things like that, you need to be worried.
