From April, up to 3,000 home-grown tobacco enthusiasts will be expected to pay as much as £44 a pound for their weed under a new duty which finally ends the tax-free status for home-grown leaf.

Enthusiasts claim the duty, which should have been introduced 10 years ago under an EU harmonisation agreement, will effectively destroy their hobby.

Now, home-growers who cure even a few pounds of leaves will be expected to register with Customs and Excise as "tobacco manufacturers" and pay £59.21 a kilo (2.2lb) for pipe grade weed and £96.81 for cigarette grade leaves.

I do explain but you dont like what you see because all you do is say explain after explain after explain. Other people said in other topics that all you doing it for is just to get a reaction and celebrate a well done to your self later. Again it doesn't need written essays like you keep asking for. Just because you think its nonsense doesnt make it so just deal with it and move on and bug someone else.

You got thread banned for refusing to provide sources and evidence to back up your claims. All you provided us in the covid thread and now with this one are laughable statements which do nothing to back up or confirm your view.
