Birmingham Airport Pickup

Apologies, from what i have seen that car park shows its a drop off point not a pickup area.

So can i park up there, walk to the terminal and then walk back and drive off? If its 20 mins its free, above that its £1, £3 etc?

I dropped my mum off in this last year, iirc it was free for a bit.

Yeah, I used to work just down the road and we'd do fish & chip Friday in the boardroom every week :D The butcher next door does fantastic hog roast rolls as well, loads of stuffing and dripping with gravy /drool
Good job it’s bank holiday or I could see trying to convince them to stay around the airport rather than driving back to derby not going down well at all.

I picked someone up from the airport about 4 years ago, i had to park in the short stay / pickup - car park and pay for some time,

its not free

Don't match the prices when selecting dates/times

As long as you can get timing on point you can do it free, the "drop off" point is free for up to 10 minutes (52°26'53"N 1°43'41"W). I've been picked up there on multiple occasions (July was last time) and the driver has never had to pay.
You just have to make sure everyone communicates and gets there on time. Best to stop short in a layby nearby offsite and get them to call you when they are walking up from the terminal, its a 5-10 min 600m-ish and covered majority of the way and you I believe you can bring the trolley up to the drop off point)

Unfortunately, I don't think that would be an option for me as they're slow walkers.

I ended up parking in the multi story a couple of mins walk away. Think it was about 6 quid iirc but could have been more. My mum and sister did say though that if you can get a good idea of time they will be out of arrivals then the vip collection/dropoff would have been about the same price but not as flexible however is right outside the arrivals entrance.

What sign is this? I need to pick up a few elderly people in a few weeks and I'm wondering whether I need to fork out for parking in their 1-3 car parks or if there's another cheaper option.
Got dropped off in the premium set down part of the Airport in November just gone. It's signposted as you drive to the airport and is out the front of the terminal. You pay at a pay machine.
