I have never said that I am some "reviewing guru", simply a hobby of mine....

I might know a lot of info. about products and reviewing items but that doesn't mean that I am some technical faults solving expert.

I had a look at your thread and it seems to be an issue with the RAM/motherboard since one stick works fine as you said, therefore it comes down to a "elimination process", you keep trying out that stick of RAM in each slot and if it still works then the motherboard is not the problem, it is a problem with one of the RAM sticks be it faulty or a voltage setting in the bios. There isn't much else to say as Stulid etc. have already covered the other stuff.


However, can you not just use the one stick of RAM for the time being until you get the review done first and then concentrate on the issue of your PC rather than spending another week or longer trying to fix the issue. The review won't take more than a day or 2 at most.

If Bitfenix or any other company decide to do another giveaway like this after what has happened here (and other competitions), at least they will know who not to choose next time.

+1 It's disgraceful what the members have done. Betfinix are also running a case competition, they should really up the entry requirements to stop the free loaders from entering (1000 posts min);).
 
There isn't any enforcements I can do. I run this for the sake of getting in touch with the community. It's a mutual trust thing that I want to build.

Entries close tomoz I believe for the Ghost giveaway. I see a lot of people have already entered it, who have won other items from Bitfenix which is a little greedy tbh.

I'm very disappointed with Sashman now. The rep took a chance on a new member, I hope this won't effect his choice for the Ghost giveaway winners. I don't like seeing the usual suspects winning all the time ;)
 
I won one of the raiders (six or seven were given away iirc, they were spread across 2 give-aways) although there wasn't as much interest for those cases when compared to the XL and ghost case and even the recon fan controller amongst some other bitfenix competitions, but I think there are a few now who have won two items or more who have also entered. I think that xbournex and kul1 at the time do take that into consideration.

Personally I don't see the harm in giving away more than 1 item to certain people for an end user review especially if they have proven that they can write a good review with positive feedback and get it all done in a timely manner, although I wouldn't like to see someone getting something 2-3 times in a row now.

I only enter the ones, where I actually have an interest in the product for my PC as well as reviewing, didn't enter a couple of bitfenix give-aways, think it was spectre fans and cables give-away and some other comps including a couple of case give-aways.


I badly want the ghost case though :p

I was around when the Hydra's and Recon was out, I really liked the look but didn't enter since I was still in the process of building my PC so I thought it would be a selfish thing to do considering my PC wasn't up and running fully tested at the time. Which made me a bit annoyed at Shashman since he took part without even starting his PC! :(

Agreed on the Ghost though, that thing looks like a bosse! ;)
 
What I find funny is that I will have recieve the new Ghost, reviewed it and then re-reviewed at Christmas with new cooler, gfx etc way before Shashman bothers to do anything....
