:D

tl;dr It says no where in the OP about any time frames.

the fact that you've bothered to chase him around the forums and find him in other threads speaks volumes.

I know he didn't give any deadlines, however, you seem to be missing the whole point of what I and the others are getting at....

Plus read xbournex's post at the top of this page again.

It isn't like he posts very often, so isn't very hard to track him down and see his posts and plus I posted in one other thread where he was active as he was clearly ignoring this thread or probably just didn't bother checking it again so I thought I would post there to remind him of his end of the deal as even xbournex asked about the other reviews, and he didn't get a reply from shashman and honosuseri (although iirc honosuseri wasn't really active on the forums for a few weeks and he did get his review posted like a day after this whole thing started):

I've seen TealC's review. Nice work!
Everyone else still writing their's up?

Mines sitting right beside my desk too, about 2 inches from my head :p
I've been looking at getting a case like the Shinobi XL or the Switch 810, for either extreme air cooling or water cooling with the idea of silence.

Yeah, it can be a right PITA as when you launch games, the GPU fan just revs. right up and the PC sounds like a wind turbine then :p :o

My review went up on the 22nd of august, long before these posts complaining I am ripping off Bitfenix. I will link it here as some people obviously can't look in the right part of the forum for cooling queries and reviews.

No time limit was stated to post a review by, I didn't know it was a race. I did have issues as I lost the photos from my memory card, so had to retake them. I admit it took a little longer than I would have liked but I do have a life outside the forum. Tealc got his review up early but then through the comments started to change his opinion on the kit over time. I felt having the kit for almost a month was enough time to make an informed decision about the build quality.

Thank you to Bitfenix for donating the controller to me, it's brilliant that they offer these competitions to our forum. I did put a fair bit of time into doing the review, thank you to those who have read my review (330ish at my last count). There is still more I want to try with the controller, which I can edit in later. Although I haven't had much feed back on the review which is a little disappointing, I did confess I was more interested in the Recon too. If my review was too difficult to find I do apologise, it's now linked from this post to anyone interested :)

I have bumped your review thread so hopefully you will get some more feedback/views and it will make more people aware of the review as not everyone will be reading this thread.

You dont wanna know what my 6850 sounds like in BF3 :p

Does anyone know which of the Bitfenix cases supports custom water cooling and what size Rads?

Must admit, if Bitfenix are holding back on another competition for forum users because someone is slow at doing a review, then I am disappoint.

hehe I think I might have a good idea :D That is the main game that brings my GPU to it's knees begging me to stop, even with everything set to low :p :o

A bit off topic all this but ah well :p

Which 6850 do you have and how does it cope with BF 3, settings and res and FPS? Really need to get the 4+ year old 4850 512MB replaced :o but don't want to spend a fortune.

I think the XL is the best case for water cooling currently.

I have the MSI OC 6850. They used to sell it here. It comes pre-overclocked but I've now overclocked it too.

950Mhz core clock
1125 memory clock.

Unfortunatley I didn't record it, I dont own BF3 you see a friend brought his version round and we played some single player to test it on my machine.

It was doing good in high settings, obviousily not 60 fps+ but around 30 I would guess, so much better than my xbox.

The noise though! The fan on the thing is titchy, like 80mm. So hoping to get that under water :p

Not bad, would be happy with medium settings and plus wouldn't be playing BF 3 on ultra settings if I could anyway, too much carp gets in the way :p

Shame that they are rather expensive though, need to be below £90 for me to consider as you can get the 7850 for like £140 currently which is far better for performance, most 6850's seem to cost £115+

Yeh I got mine when it was £80 :D
A rough guess, my 6850 is three times as loud as the intel stock cooler when that is under load in games.

I was tempted when I seen those prices, but wanted to wait for the 78xx series and 660TI first to see what they were like and if they would reduce the prices of the 6870 and 560TI at all and well I missed my chance then and the prices either remained the same or went up slightly :(

Wow! Seriously! That is terrible! Is your hearing still ok? :p I would stick that under water cooling straight away or get a better cooler! :p

Its not to bad.

40% - fairly quiet
60% fan speed - ok
80% - noisy
100%v - wheres the 747?

But yeh I want that under water! :p

Huh, am I too late?

Missed this somehow, anyway, been looking at one of these the last month, so will give this thread a good read over this coming week.

Thanks guys!

Just an update, I've got a few parts ordered which I'm expecting to arrive tomorrow. I'll use the opportunity to do my Recon review so expect it within the next few days.

Its been what a month?
Thats plenty of time!

I'm in college studying hard with a job and I can find enough time to spend 6 hours working on the PC once a week!
