[BitFenix] Support and Discussion Thread!

Hrm.. that Phobya looks interesting. If the 180mm fans actually have, 180mm x 180mm mounts on the holes, Then I would say it would fit (2 on each side).

I totally didn't think of doing this! You may have just saved me a few £££ :D

Already have one 230mm spectre pro (incredible airflow!) so another 3 shouldn't hurt the bank balance too much :D

Thanks xbournex!

Edit: the fan in the picture is the CM Megaflow 200mm, afaik has the standard 54mm spacing the 200/230mm SP's have.

My recent case is ANTEC P182...Which Bitfenix is considered to be similar? I like NZXT 810 functionallity but feels too plastic. Like integrated card reader and movable inside fans etc + that fan regulator for 7 fans?

Is Shinobi big enough compared to P182 or wait for XL?

Case must be like-able, quiet but there's dilema which one.

NZXT 810 direct comparison would be Shinobi XL I'd imagine. What are your requirements. Unless you're going to watercool, something like the standard Shinobi or the BitFenix Raider will be more than adequate.

*Cough*
Did everyone go quiet after I said I wasn't in charge of contests? :(

I got a 2 can dine for 8.99 at McDonalds in Canada :D
I'm only bugging you guys. Humans need sleep... I wonder why I haven't done so regularly, or lately :p

Whats sleep? :D :D :D.

Fly me over to Canada and I'll join ya. But first I want to see Niagara Falls.

KD: not gonna watercool...got that gelid tranquillo 2 which i'll be using for new system, just waiting for the right case....want something big as P182 or a little more for extra space....

Shinobi is very great price 50Ł or Raider, tough choices.

Damn!

That fan controller looks awesome in terms of features and aesthetics! (usually I am not keen on those sort of things either) The whole controlling it from your Android is vey cool as well.

Love these very cool neat ideas that you guys come up with.

Also regarding the p182, check out my review of the raider, I have done quite a few comparisons against the p182 (mainly noise, build quality), which you may find useful :)

However, if you want more space, the shinobi and the raider is a bit of a downgrade in that area. The XL is the one that you would want.

EDIT:

However, the raider case is big enough. If you want to put long gpus in like a 6970 etc. The side plate for the top hard drive cage would have to be removed, which will leave you with 3X3.5 hard drive slots, however, if sll 3 slots are occupied, there is very little space between the hard drives, which is not good for temps and airflow.

Nope, but it was 4am :p

But yeah, if the choice is between the XL or the 810, I'd pick the XL. It generally seems like a nicer case. Not that I've seen reviews of it, but the reviews of the 810 seemed to suggest it wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

I'm still far too excited about the XL to be honest xD :)

Who else is using the spectre pro series of fans? Just installed two & now my system is quiet for the first time since....ever :D

On a side note, is there anywhere I can purchase the fan mounts seperately from the fans themselves?

Tell you what I am looking for is cables for modular PSU's. Some PSU's have quite stiff modular cables. Surely Bit Fenix can make them braided for say ocz, corsair PSU's etc.

Who runs the fb page?
A couple of people, including me.

We're running a pilot project with OC3D right now. One thing for certain is that the cables WON'T be selling separately. I just can't see 400 SKU's being released, and suppliers having to purchase in bulk. More likely in sets.
