Black friday deals?

Aww man if you get any of those der8auer Delid-Die-mates in before thursday... Having this on blackfriday deals will sell quite well! You'll probably sell the lot!

gibbo will there be any deals for a thrustmaster t500rs? could also be tempted with a really good deal on a 5820k bundle and maybe 1tb ssd although my bank account is saying noooo lol

But it isn't really, if you're talking about the Samsung EVO + Free Game. You wont be able to sell the game for 30, and even then people are complaining about 20 sigh

I wasn't expecting to see a Samsung sub £100.00 tbh, and not that fussed on assassins creed. Currently got a 250gb ssd for a few games along with the os. Thinking of buying battlefront but as my main drive is nearly full, I'm loath to install a game id play regularly on a mechanical drive.

I was wondering if there will be any chance of the price coming down on the i7-6700k during the offers next week? Thanks.

We'd love to knock the price down by £50 but were selling over 50 units per day at present and Intel cannot meet our stock demands, I've got 5000 on back order and we get only like 200-300 units per week. :(

I'd like nothing more than Intel to deliver me like 2000 units next week so we could go killer on the price but unfortunately we will be lucky to get 200 let alone 2000 so the price has to remain around the £350 mark and we don't foresee stock situation improving until next year at this rate.....

meh, guess I might just have to go with i7 DC then unless there are some nice deals on i7 5820k + x99 MB + DDR 4 RAM......

The plan is as follows:

Then on CYBER Monday we shall launch an incredible X99 bundle that saves you hundreds of pounds from buying the items seperately. :)

We will clean up, SIMPLES! Snooze and ya lose! SIMPLES! :)

There is some X99 deal lined up. If it's a 5820k and bits at a good price, i'm getting one. Ya know, for dem extra 2 fps ;)

Either are great choices, 5820k moreso if you do any sort of content creation, ala video encoding.

My only serious usage is gaming tbh.

Originally I was all set on i5 6600k but with DX 12 and a few current games favouring i7's atm i.e. fallout 4 I can see the gap between i5 and i7 increasing over the next few years.

Yeah I was excited until gibbo said it was going to be over £500 including the discount :p So it sounds like it will be a very high end x99 system or/and there is more to it than just the CPU, RAM & MB. I don't really want to spend much more than £450

Having very recently switched from a 4790k at 4.7ghz to a currently at stock 5820k. For games im not seeing much difference tbh. Tested a quick oc of 4.5ghz on the 5820k, runs a lot cooler in games compared to the 4790k. 76c max on the latter as opposed to 64c max on the former.

Yeah I suspect that they both would be very similar with only a few FPS difference at most, main reason for wanting to go SL/x99 over DC is just to somewhat future proof it, I can see whatever I get lasting me at least 5 years.

It will all just come down to price in the end, if there is a difference of £150+, I'll probably just go for i7 DC.

My i5 750 @ 4GHz doesn't go above 65 degrees, I imagine the i7 DC @ stock would run cooler by a decent bit?

Iirc, at stock the 4790k's i owned would get to the mid 60's when gaming. Theyre just pretty hot chips due to how theyre made.
