Black Friday Deals

I really found nothing to tempt me this year, like for things that is too good to pass up.

Even things that I kinda need, a new shaver…I can’t see the price being that much lower than normal. Makes me just want to carry on using the thing until it literally falls apart.

Just bought myself a Craghoppers fleece with was £16 from Amazon. Very low price for their stuff, and a lot of my jumpers are starting to get a bit past it.

Bagged a Google Pixel 6a for £199 from John Lewis - you have to trade in an old phone to get £100 off but it can be non working and I have an old phone that is broken.

For our members who are in the armed forces or have been in the armed forces it is worthwhile signing up to the Defence Discount Service. You can use it online and instore and the savings can be quite substantial. Most times it even stacks on top of already discounted sale items including Black Friday deals. It only costs £4.99 for 5 years of membership and personally I have saved a small fortune over the past year I have had this.

There really isn't much this year.

if you have never tried modern VR before prepared to be blown away. it is fantastic.
Absolutely. I tried the original HTC Vive only a few months ago in flight sim and despite the pretty awful resolution could definitely see the potential and immersion was something else. Ended up ordering the HP Reverb G2 V2 but had to return it as was faulty. Unfortunately the Quest 2 price had gone up so been sat on the fence ever since thinking I would see what new headshets might be released. The Quest Pro is a bit too steep for a very casual use and the Pico 4 looked disappointing for PCVR. Tried my brother in law's Q2 on Half Life Alyx and totally blew me away so hoping for reasonable performance in MSFS but I know it's not the perfect PCVR setup but for £350 seems worth a shot. That's my self justification.

just got the uswitch o2 deal, i had 5 gig plus unlimited at £6.70 mnth but I've been too near that figure so got the £8 mnth 30 gig deal ,get decent signal at home and work unlike three,
btw on uswich its totally seamless if your already on o2 as you are taken to your o2 login on signup

The usual discount codes for some climbing gear so I'll be ordering tomorrow. A couple Totem cams, 6x Black Diamond ice screws. Probably a ME Fitzroy.

I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has purchased something on Black Friday in the past, then found the item was cheaper either in the weeks leading up to it or by the January sales that followed.

The duvet we bought a few months ago is currently on a Black Friday deal and it's £20 more than we paid for it.

I've not seen many Black Friday deals that get me hooked or even tempt me. EDIT: I did buy the portal bundle on Steam for not much over a quid :p
