$$$$$ BLACK FRIDAY: ENGAGE! $$$$$

What is happening with the intel SSD's? The deal came online friday, I ordered very quickly but then I get email monday saying out of stock, then I read here you might be getting some more from intel, so what is the situation with the intel 480gb?

here is the Quote from Gibbo on the last page, below

Intel gave us a set amount to sell, they sold so quick the website failed to keep up and in the 15 minutes it took to update about 50 orders too many came in as it was so popular.

We've asked Intel if they can help but so far no luck.

Yeh I already read that but Gibbo said he is "speaking with intel"...

Pretty annoying if I do not get one because I ordered very quickly and then yesterday after reading gibbo say he is "talking with intel and might get some" I missed an Amazon offer on a 240gb sandisk pro for £79.99 when I could have cancelled the intel order and got that instead... So if the intel does not get delivered then I have missed out on 2 SSD deals :(

I don't particularly mind the ukdeals thing... I don't mind they oversold due to the website is build in a user friendly way, which is what let this happen... I do mind how this was handled. It can be reasonably assumed OCUK was aware they oversold by a lot on Saturday 9AM, but they shipped out drives 'out of order' anyway.

@MrCarrot: I'm not naming any forum users as it is not their mistake! I found some posts indicating at least one who ordered later than me received the drives... and I ordered after 8pm.

Hmm I ordered before 8pm and have not gone out of warehouse queue. it should be whoever orders first gets the drives :/

Perhaps your payment took a while to process after the order was placed, the site was going quite slow due to the amount of traffic and orders being placed, so it's entirely possible your bank took longer to process the payment than some others too.

I took the time of the email confirmation. Site was completely responsive for me during all of it.

Did you all only order 1 drive or multiple? I wonder if they prioritised people who ordered multiple and had lots of orders for two.

So are people's orders from last week still in the warehouse queue or is it just those affected by the SSD offer?

Obviously this weekend has been busy for you, which is great - but those of us who haven't posted much on these boards pay quite a lot of money (£9.60 including VAT) for delivery (even for a small item like RAM sticks which is a bit of a joke, tbh).

Now, I only ordered stuff yesterday so I'm not that bothered yet, I'm just wondering at this point (and of course planning to post more to get the free delivery :p)
