Black Mesa Source

whilst we are on the HL subject.

This mod looks good - made by a couple of the DICE team:

Will be checking it out later... :P
Thanks for putting me onto this. :)

I reckon the last two quotes from the youtube comments pretty much sums up my experience with it.

"The aesthetics are beautiful in this mod, even if the texture resolution isn't great. It's a looker without all the annoying things you see today in games like overused bloom, annoying sun glare and the smudged camera look. The gameplay is standard HL2 affair which is awesome!"

"Awesome mod, really great level design"

Feels good to be playing Half Life again; role on the fourteenth. :)

I wonder if its going to be made available on steams workshop or it be a manual download and install like the other huge HL2 mod the "Cinematic mod".

If its on steam/workshop I half hope steam crashes under the strain of millions downloading it and as a result will kick Valve into gear over a new Half-Life game!

The BBC said:
The large chunk of Half-Life that is finished lets players guide hero Gordon Freeman to a section of the original gameplay known as Lamda Core. Finishing this first chunk should take players between eight to 10 hours.

Well done BBC...

How funny would it be if this whole release date is a troll :p or they come up with a OH **** we can't release it now we need to do something else to it.

I really do hope it comes out though !!! taken them long enough

Never mind about Syria or the daily Euro crisis......................

Not sure why you gits are excited but I'm surprised anyone gives a damn anymore given how long it has taken. Either way it's good to see the mod finally out.

I may try it just to witness those two scientists go WARGGGGHHHHH as they fall to their deaths in that lift :D
