Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

But wokism didn't exist then.

Now we are doing diversity and representation, how come it only works one way?

I want to see myself represented positively in this film, as I can't relate to any other human struggle or experience unless they accurately reflect my gender, race, age and sexual preference.
Wait for trailer 2. There will be more characters that you can relate to, I'm sure.

You are gonna love this movie!

At this stage of phase 1 we finally saw the big bad, Thanos. Makes sense that they should show or tease Kang the conqueror in this movie. Maybe in the end credit scenes prior to a proper appearance in ant man 3.

Phase 5 looks a bit short on films and big on TV shows, so maybe they will start to tie in a bit more to the movies.

Phase 6 only 3 films announced but you have to think there will be a couple of sequels from phase 4 that are yet to be announced for Phase 6. A Shang Chi 2, another Spider man as well. No idea who could be the Avenger lineup in the 2 announced Phase 6 films.

And how many people knew who he was back then in 2012? I would estimate 1 out of every 25, if I was being generous.

Sure but it's 2022 now and Marvel is much bigger. They also seem to plan much further ahead and give out more info now and have the connected TV shows this time round. I'm sure most fans already know Kang the Conqueror is due to be the big enemy for this trilogy of phases .
No doubt they will also make him appear more frequently this time round to establish his character and motives before the finale movies. he already sort of appeared in Loki and he is on the poster for ant man 3.

The mental gymnastics is strong with this one :)

I mean according to the media including the anti-social variety, all characters must be played by likeminded actors. So only a gay person can play a gay character, only a trans person can play a trans character. So does that mean only a serial killer can play the roll of a serial killer or is this not how it works?

I agree with you, I find the mental gymnastics required to cast a movie in 2022 to be utterly silly. I'm a proponent of "best person for the role" but I also realise that with non-original works (adaptions of books,TV/theatre etc) that sometimes you have to limit the casting to specific identifiers (age/sex/race/disability etc) which doesn't allow for the diversity that the vocal minority require i.e. in a historically accurate film about Norse Vikings a studio wouldn't cast a black woman in a leadership role would they...................oh I forgot it's 2022 so of course they would :)

The things is, when there is, for example, a race-swap thats done really well (Denzel Washington as The Equaliser) the fact there's a race-swap isn't a big deal after the initial "hmmm, well Denzel's a great actor so I'll give it a watch" yet those who desire more and more diversity are also those who applaud the awful race swapping (Queen Latifah as The Equaliser) and it's that "applauding awfulness rather than calling it out" which hurts diversity, making it a dirty word rather than something that is organic.

I think you'd very surprised. I'd be shocked if even 10% of people that see Marvel films have any idea who Kang the Conquerer even is.
I know who Kang is !

I always thought Wakanda was land locked?

Quite how anyone can be surprised or object to a film almost certain to be wholly based in Africa, you know, where black people are the natives, and complain about lack of diversity when Hollywood movies have been almost exclusively white for decades and often with a 'token black guy/poc' included when, especially in major cities there are far more black and PoC compared to white people is beyond me.
