Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

If I could ban one thing in this world it would be people taking popular songs, removing 90% of the melody, slowing them down to a crawl and generally butchering them.

Feels like everything is going paint by numbers in film. The trailers are all the same. The way they are cut and the style of music is the same.

Looks like it could be alright but I never got the hype about the first one. It was decent enough. Middle of the road for Marvel at the time with some utterly awful CGI. Two best characters in it were the bad guys as well.

Sure but it's 2022 now and Marvel is much bigger. They also seem to plan much further ahead and give out more info now and have the connected TV shows this time round. I'm sure most fans already know Kang the Conqueror is due to be the big enemy for this trilogy of phases .
No doubt they will also make him appear more frequently this time round to establish his character and motives before the finale movies. he already sort of appeared in Loki and he is on the poster for ant man 3.

Is it bigger? Surely the views are dropping?

Oh, that's it for Phase 4? Feels like it never really started. It seems like going forward they're counting the TV series as content towards the Phase itself and not the movies any more. As for Phase 5, I'm only interested in half of those movies, which means I'm going to increasingly feel disconnected from the whole thing.

Didn’t even make it past page 1 before the usual crowd started with the political/culture wars ********
Exactly wish people just leave this kind on topic at the door and not clog up the thread with same old stuff. Cant we just enjoy the movies as it is without delving too deep and taking it too seriously.

Phase 4 has been very underwhelming or outright terrible, there's been no standout when compared to previous phases ( Avengers in P1, Winter soldier/GotG in P2 and Endgame/Infinity War in P3)

  • Black Widow
  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
  • Eternals
  • Spider-Man: No Way Home
  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessThor:
  • Love and Thunder Black Panther
  • Wakanda Forever
  • WandaVision
  • The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
  • Loki season 1
  • What If...? season 1
  • Hawkeye
  • Moon Knight
  • Ms. Marvel
  • She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Obviously there's till 2 to come in BP2 and She Hulk, neither of those interest me in the slightest and tbh P5 looks equally dull, Maybe I'm just 'marveled out'.

I think it became clear early on with WandaVision and Loki that the TV shows were becoming a more integrated part of the universe that would tie into the overall plot rather than just be 'set in the universe' as they were in the infinity saga.

I agree with the 'feels like it never really started'. With Phase 1, it had been teasing and then explicitly building to the formation of the Avengers - there was a clear direction to all the movies and an overall plot that you could see developing.

I'm not really sure what the 'plot' is now for phase 4? Maybe the last couple of films will tie it all up and make things clearer but for now it just feels a bit like a succession of vaguely related films and shows loosely tied together by 'oooo the multiverse'.

Looking forward to watching it but not based off of that trailer, it didn't really give me too much to get excited about. Shame Daniel Kaluuya didn't want/couldn't be in it.
