R:e DLSS4, by not including new software advancements with previous GPUs, it just looks like Nvidia needs to rely on this type of up-scaling tech to achieve it's performance improvement goals, rather than being innovative in this space. I.e something that perhaps the previous 3000 and 4000 RTX series could also benefit from. It seems a very disingenuous advancement, and really aimed at securing more sales and adding to their already greedy Mc greed face sort of persona.

I might go full scorched earth at this point and just start my own Nvidia boycott of 1 person :D
AMD will be using AI to frame gen and upscale as of FSR 4 too, so the whole debate about one company using AI to this and that no longer applies, not that it did anyway as the HW was used for good reason, the same reason why AMD now are switching to HW based AI for it, because doing it in software is trash

Don't AMD allow older cards and also competitor cards to use their tech as well though? That's sort of the point I was making :D

For context,

Neural rendering is likely an AI based texture compression

Yes I saw that with DLSS 4 Neural rendering, games won't need as much vram as they do currently, which might explain why the 5080/70ti are only coming with 16gb with no progression from the 4080/70ti Super. Seems to make sense given the context of the new technology.
