OP you've got a big white mark covering your numberplate surely you don't need to worry about bus lane cameras?
Yeah I recognise it now, people park there for going into the centre, or for going to the childrens hospital, or the BRI etc.. I would just drive up the curb and across the bus lane.
If you get a bus lane fine then just chalk it up to another bad parking experience in central Bristol. (Although I doubt there is a bus lane camera attached to one of the trees down there)

No idea how you managed to find the spot.
Go back into Hotel Du Vin and have a slap up meal and drink?
I've been stood by my car for an hour and I need to get back to work.
Take plates off (if theres even a camera on it), exit via bus lane. That's what I'd do. But then, I'm a rebel![]()
The final conclusion!
4 pages.
Yeah back in the office. Person who owned the Audi to the right was found by the hotel and they moved out so I could turn in the spaces.
Otherwise was impossible - had a classic builder type see me out beforehand - just got wedged at an angle and had to do a 20 point turn to get back in the space again.
I do normally reverse in but I was working and had a load of kit in the back that I needed to unload.
Hope the moron and the van in front of him still get a ticket/towed.
To be fair, driving out over the pavement probably would have been doable, just didn't think of it at the time. Oh and the hour wasn't just spend doddling, I was on the phone to the council twice and in the hotel (where I was working) and nearby offices trying to see if it belonged to anyone there. Judging my the type of car and the state/contents of its inside I think it was a builder or workman at one of the many nearby building sites there.
Russ, sell the film rights for your ordeal to netflix or amazon. This thread has kept me entertained all morning.
