Magic for magicians... He is believe it or not performing quite a few slight of hands, he switches the card about 5 times. :p - He is still learning it as it looks quite unnatural at the moment.

They look like regular footprints to me, not on top of the level sand.

I'm a little confused at the original picture comment too.
It's just two foot prints in the sand, the person has stepped back and photographed them...... haven't they?

They look like regular prints to me, also, with the light coming in from the right.

Now if you imagine the light is coming in from the left, it can definitely change the effect.
