Blue Dragon Official Thread

Blimey. I've just topped 20 hours and i'm still on disk one.

Slow and steady wins the race.. :p

I found out quite later on in the game that searching everything helps. I've not so much been rushing through anything because my chars are still a decent level as well as my shadows. Now I'm free to roam I'm going to spend some time maxing stuff out.

Well the actual timer's reading 28 hours but i've taken a couple off for when it's been left idle.

I've just been taking my time and searching pretty much every rock or anything that can possibly be searched. Not massively levelled up, though. Everyone's only on level 25.

With a game like this, I try to make the most of it. :p

Just got the game and was wondering if I need to level up just one class on each character or should I level up all the classes?

Got this the other day and enjoying it so far, only bout 5 hours in mind. How come you can get 10 gold after 10 gold just by searching stones etc though?

I finished blue dragon the other day. Quite a good ending but overall I'm not all that impressed really. Only had about 40 hours play time and I did all the main sidequests (I think there are some really strong optional bosses which I didn't bother with).

Finished too.

About 80hours.

All characters lvl 99
All shadows lvl 99
Did make the final boss a tad easy but didn't power level until the very very end of the game.
All optional bosses killed (one of the dragons was well ard) and all items / monsters found.

1000/1000 ~ Yes I am a lunatic.

Loved it.

Nah. Before the final battle I did look through at what items / monsters I'd missed and had to look a few up (how the hell was I supposed to know to give a banana to the monkey for example / though it does seem quite obvious now I mention it!)

After the first mini game (button bashing) achievement I did look at the rest of the activity ones as I realised I could easily have missed it. I then replayed them a few times to get 'perfects' and tbh I only found one that hard.

If you just play the game through very thoroughly taking care to kill every unique creature you come accross, trying to get monster fights, talking to everyone, opening everything and keeping track of all the barriers you come accross (I kept a list) it's quite easy to get all/most of the achievements.

Getting the level ones come from being stubborn at the end and putting in a few hours grinding.

I didn't really set out to get them all I just wondered after a while that if I put some effort in whether I could or not.

edit: I did have to look up where some of the dragons and optional boss monsters were.

After finishing lost odyssey, ive dl the extra content for blue dragon. It includes and impossible setting and a new dungeon. So now my granther is going through it again with his lvl 99 character.....pfftt not impossible so far:)
