If you have the sb3100 modem you will need to get it swapped over as it has an issue with the new upgrades blueyonder are giving out.

im guessing a SB4200 is ok? or will i need a new modem

i am concidering moving house to get blue yonder back i sware i am the only road in the UK that cant have them :( so i pay 30 for a 2mb connection and 35 for sky how jelious am of you all :)

Im in the same boat and i think many are im afraid :(

with 10mbit being telewest's highest bandwidth package by 2006, some other ISPs (Be, UK Online, Bulldog,...) will have ~24mbit. won't telewest have to be thinking about Another bandwidth upgrade soon?

ive just been on the phone with telewest and they dont seem to know whats going on. the guy i spoke to was adament that scotland had not been done at all. he told me upgrades started in london and they are making their way north and are at the midlands at the moment. so i asked if scotland would be last he then said yes. now i seem puzzled as im sure it was the scottish people claiming they have been upgraded 1st

i then asked about pricing and its fairness and his response was basically unlucky if your last in the list and deal with it :(

I have just spoke to TW and the chick i spoke to says Scotland def isnt first to be done

Ive also just had a look on TW's status page and they are saying Perry Barr in Brum
is going to be down for 6 hours due to a network upgrade :)

Hopefully Wolves wont be far behind

Unfortunately I think that list has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I'm on the Trowbridge UBR and according to that list I should've been upgraded on the 15th. I'm still on 2MB as of this morning.

I know its an approx. rollout date, but still. Trowbridge, Bristol, Bath and the entire South West region isn't even listed on TWs official rollout page

I was talking to a telewest engineer at work on Friday and he said Wolvo would be done at the end of November:(. Im hopping he didn’t have a clue what he was taking about and its gona be sooner.

Upload Speeds.

Although T/West promise speeds up to 50meg, there upload speed will never be able to go over 3.6 meg(ish) due to the caps on the equipment used, A TW enginneer was showing me whilst i was changing over there fibre optics @ TOnbride.
Although 3.6 would be good enough.LOL
