This is insane, it must be an error with Grabit

Yep the data is a wreck, I'm going to see if it PARs OK but I saw at 20,000KB at one point!

Edit: Not chance Grabit was throwing a fit, was just sat looking at the monitor like this :eek:

Edit: Looks like Grabit gets very creative with d/l speeds when it hits posts that are no longer on the server, have just tried some stuff on th BY NG server and can max out the connection but it looks like BY have capped the incoming speed of 100proofnews to around 4Mb because I can't get more the 480KB/s off any server now :mad:

Anyone on Knowsley UBR01 been upgraded yet? Says the work has been done but as of last night was still on 1MB.

I'm on Knowsley uBR 06, which is getting done today. I have just checked my modem logs and I'm still on 4meg, so no change here as of yet.

From what I have heard it usually takes 1-2 weeks from your uBR getting upgraded to actually seeing your speed increase.

How many connections to your usenet provider do you have to use to max out your 10meg connection? I am using 4 now and i'm currently on 4meg, which gives me a 470kb/s DL speed.

Didnt think it mattered, i use 4 to the blueyonder servers, not sure what 10 would do. Probably nothing

I've not read through all the post, can't be arsed but it's to let anyone in the glasgow area, your speed should have been upgraded by now. I've had mine for a few week, can't beat 2mb (really 2.5mb) for £14.99. Not sure whats going to happen now Telewest has be taken over by NTL...........

Would really bad fluctuating pings be to do with these upgrades? When pinging anything (no downloads whatsoever, housemates both not downloading), I'm getting jumps from 20ms to 140ms, not had a stable connection now for nearly 2 weeks.
